Another crazy one for Bonds:
If you created a player who was guaranteed to go 2-5 every game of a 162 game season, that player would hit 162 HR and bat .400. His OPS would still be lower than Bonds in 2004

Yeah, almost too many to pick from with Gretzky.
For example: 3 players in NHL history have recorded 100 assist seasons. Orr did it once. Lemieux did it once. Gretzky did it 11 times in a row.
Also, he is both the fastest and the 2nd fastest player to accumulate 1,000 points. He reached the first 1,000 in 424 games. Got another 1,000 over the next 433 games.
He could have been held pointless for every game of every season from 2000 until 2017 and still have averaged over a point per game over his career

He doesn't. He had 617 plate appearances, but only 373 at bats. The number of times he reached base exceeds the number of at bats, but not the number of plate appearances

Wayne Gretzky is the all time leader in goals, assists, and points scored. Had he never scored a goal, he'd still be the all time leader in career points
