Used a 32/29 for most of my high school career. Wasn't a big guy so figured I needed the lower weight for more bat speed. Switched to 33/30 for senior year and had much more power. Learned that the extra inch was more beneficial than the lower weight.

The white and black TPX was awesome. Swung a 33/30 in high school.
In college the bats improved and swung a 34/29 with a 2 3/4 barrel. Then they changed the rules and you could only use a -3 with a 2 5/8.

This is the weirdest pissing contest I have seen on here in a while.

That said I used an 84 inch 600 oz Easton bat.

Louisville Slugger Mickey Mantle Model 33". Handle was bigger than normal but smaller than the Nellie Fox Models. Perfect.

My parents bought me a 33in/30oz Omaha when I started playing ball for the school. It was way too long and heavy for me. I ended up switching to a 31/28.

I have long arms so the weight was more important than length for me.

That tape is no bueno.

I forget what it had originally come with, but I want to say it was likely tan leather? Either way, it was slippery as hell and I removed it and laced it like that and I loved it. Gave it some texture. I also liked tapering it to fill in the gap at the bottom of my left hand. I wanted it as thin as possible with grip and taped at the end. Wanted it to feel like a whip.

Funny, two wooden bats I had in high school were a 33" Louisville Slugger and a 36" one. I don't recall which was which, but one was a Steve Garvey model and the other was Kirby Puckett. Either way, that 36" was a beast. As big as I was, there was no bringing that around on an actual pitch, but it was fun as hell launching cabbage balls with it.

Have three Marruci bats now, but I've never hit anything with them. did some work for those guys early on when they had those batting cages or whatever they had in Baton Rouge and they gave me a couple of bats with my name on them. Beautiful maple ones. Had a buddy give me an ash version later which feels great too...but damn I wish I had the courage to swing those maples at something. They just feel dense, not sure how to describe them. Them really don't even handle like those old shitty LS woods I had back then.
They're just to pretty to mark up.
