Sorry the 2019 championship bothers you lol

And that team is highly regarded by a lot of people not just LSU fans "bragging"

Man, you are really owning the SEC with this high IQ post. Anyone who pulls for a conference is dumb. What is your excuse for what is means to be a Michigan man now?

I hope Indiana steamrolls Bama and a meteor hits the OM-UGA game

But beating your chest about bowl games is weak

Its ok. Pancakes would rather pick out a random reliaquest game against Vanderbilt as some kind of measuring stick

All of the meaningless bowl games are getting massaged by the officials.

As an LSU fan, I don't pull for other SEC teams. I don't get the concept of pulling for your rivals.

So I am glad to see them struggle. Hoping Bama gets blown out as well. And the SEC is not all that special. Mega conferences have all kinds of bottom feeders and mid programs.

Would just like to point out a Michigan fan started this thread. Don't know how Iowa got pulled into this conversation. Must have been started in the heels of Iowa winning the game over Vandy.

SEC teams only care about playing for championships, motivation in “other” bowls isn’t there, like it is for lesser conferences. Plus, like Ole Miss vs UGA, SEC teams knock each other off in bowls, and that counts as a loss for one of those SEC teams

What year is this?

I don’t care if the SEC wins all or none of the bowl games.

They are more meaningless than ever.

Final 12 is all that matters.

I don’t care about sec wins or losses. I only care about how LSU does. However, a conference winning 16 of the last 30 national championships with 6 different teams sends a message.

Iowa has an identity and has been a top 25 program historically.

Whoa now, slow the roll a little bit. I like Iowa and respect your program, but no Iowa is not a Top 25 program historically. Iowa has finished ranked in a major poll 29 times in school history going back to the creation of the AP poll in 1936. In comparison, my MSU Bulldogs have finished ranked 18 times, and we are no where near a good program historically. You have a nice little program. Let's not twist facts here.

The Standard Ohio State one. Missing players, that sort of thing.

Switch schedules, Arkansas wins at least 9. Iowa 2 would be a stretch

So, Iowa just beat a 10 win SEC team, but you don’t think they could get 2 win against Ark, MSU, South Carolina, Florida, Auburn? Whatever man. Let me guess, Illinois couldn’t win 2 either?

Since 1980, Iowa is a Top 25 program. If you want to go back further than that, sure, the 70s were really crappy, 60s were solid, not sure about before that other than Nile Kinnick.

By that metric, since the beginning of time, Miami, FSU, and many other top programs are not Top 25 either. But if we're talking modern era, yes, Iowa is a Top 25 program in wins, rankings, fan following, money, etc.

ETA: since 1980 Iowa has 344 wins, good for #22 on the list.
