Why isn't he on these lists much? Would be at or near the top if I was an AD. What am I missing?

Seriously tho. Hasn't CJ gotten his due? Hasn't Leach been vindicated?

USC is not going after a spread concept guy. They're going to get a coach that will run a pro-style offense.

One of the LA Times writers who knew something about the coaching search said Leach was never seriously considered for the job, not because he can't coach, but because he's a giant douche who would never fit in at UCLA. I have to assume that's the case at USC as well. I can't see him fitting in with USC or with Pat Haden.

When the UW job opened up after Willingham was fired, Leach was brought in for an interview and a lot of people were thinking that he would get the job. Apparently he absolutely bombed the interview and UW moved on right after that.

quote:Right, my bad. Poor choice of words. What I got out of the article was that Leach was sort of a rube, a misfit, the kind of guy who would fair poorly around rich, sophisticated L.A. types. That kind of a douche.

it would be retard to hire a guy that runs an offense that USC has always run and had great success, including recently with?

Leach is off the charts intelligent
Very outspoken
Very impatient
And he has zero filter

Most elite programs run a pro style offense now. Oregon is probably the only program that you might consider elite that doesn't run a pro style offense.

If you want to laugh, listen to some of Leach's locker room rant's at Texas Tech. The dude has no filter.
