Just watched the video for the first time. I hate to put it this way, but there was a point where she sounded like she was having an orgasm while singing. Like she was moaning at the end of some of the words.

I guess it was supposed to be edgy and cool, but sometimes with art you swing and miss when you try to be different. I still think Chris Stapleton set the bar.

The problem I have with many singers who do the National Anthem is when they get into the vibrato/yodeling mode where even 1 syllable words suddenly take them 8 syllables and 3 octave changes to get out.
Just sing the song clearly and precisely and let it live on its own merit.
