when 80% of the SEC games were similar to these defensive slugfests in the 2010s, the media was slobbering all over the conference, saying what great FB it was

…..the sec was also winning national championships.

It's easy to look elite when you play against an NAIA schedule

Gave up 31 to a truly shitty PSU offense.

Yeah. I'd rather have put up 45 points but still lost by 24 like TCU today.

If this game was played on a Sunday people would be slobbering about how it's an AFC North slobberknocker. Great game. Etc.

All that matters is winning the game by 1 points or more.

And their best player is out the rest of the way.

Don't sweat it. They have to twist themselves into these pretzels. Their inSECurity demands it. It's in their blood.

Why was Ferentz crying in the postgame interview? I get that they won 10 games and are going to be B1G championship game, but I still don’t see that as tears-worthy.

He was referring to their defense basically playing no one with an offense.

24th- Utah State
81st- Iowa State
92nd- Western Michigan
96th- Illinois
94th- Purdue
15th- Penn State
128th- Michigan State
102nd- Wisconsin
122nd- Nebraska
111th- Minnesota
112th- Northwestern
100th- Rutgers

Outside of 2 offenses the rest AVG in the hundreds.

Is he going to retire? If so that could open up Kentucky. Stoops would run to that job.

It looked to me like he was debating announcing his retirement there in the moment as opposed to in a crafted letter.

Probably because the AD fired his kid that engineered the worst offense in FBS.

Kirk always cries when talking about his players at the end of the season. This is nothing new.

That was Kirk Ferentzs masterpiece, his Magnus opum. The most beautiful thing he had ever witnessed.

I get it
