…how many top 25 wins does ND, Indiana, and SMU have?

The death of college football is slow and sad.

How many does Texas have? Because they are the #3 ranked team in the country

You want to put in a 9-3 team that lost to two 6-6 teams over 11-1 teams and a 10-2 team that only lost to teams with 10 wins?

Help me understand.

the NCAA needs to kill bowl games and just do what FCS does. Nobody really watches bowls anymore as well as even if a sunbelt champ gets clobbered by the at large 4th or 5th B1G or SEC team that one game would get more eyeballs on TV than any combined BS bowl games they would be in.

Coincidentally, those 6-6 teams played the #4 and #8 SOS. Crazy they are 6-6. Just imagine if they had played a regular season schedule ranked in the 80's.

If we’re playing “just imagine,” Just imagine if Bama hadn’t lost to one of them..

That’s all they had to do. Not lose to two 6-6 teams.

Just imagine if the committee placed as much emphasis as you do on SoS. Vandy and OU would be in!

Yeah you can forget big OOC games now going forward. Weakest schedule possible is how you get in.

Those teams proved that 6 teams were better than them. 1-2 losses ok....but you are wanting to reward shite teams because of the SEC bias.

Which team got left out because of losing a big OOC game?

How about every conference champion not in the CFP gets a bye to the FCS quarterfinals

Different playoff system. FSU would not get dropped out during a 12-team playoff.

If you are a blue blood, there is absolutely no reason to play anyone of consequence. The likelihood that a bama, Ohio st etc get left out with 2 losses is so low.

Fine. Do away with conference affiliations and every school is responsible for scheduling its own season.

This has been, and will always be a thing in CFB.

You simply can't have 100+ teams who play 12 games and objectively choose a handful of "best" teams.

The most important thing is having a set criteria and STICKING TO IT. The committee can't flip flop on what's important every year based on the team name.
