Had he not got into his motorcycle wreck he could have went down as one of the great point guards of all time imo!

Mullin was good, although, I think he's also pretty high in how he's regarded.
A deep dive on players from the 1950s-1970s would be required to do this right. But I'd start my underrated list with Alvin Robertson, Norm Van Lier, Walt Frazier, Gerald Wallace, Domantas Sabonis, Jalen Williams, Van Exel, and Siakam.

Bibby

Now that’s a good candidate for underrated stars. Dude was a great player who got lost in an era of incredible PGs

Pass first guard, why he was traded for Bibby. However only picked up dribble with pass purpose. Couldn’t defend on all star level but could run the break with any other player, any time, against any d. Veteran that ended up getting a title with Shaq and wade.

Underrated says who? Don’t believe any basketball fan judges him like that. Great guard.

He was a decent starting PG and had a very solid career. Probably a better question is if he was the most overrated player ever.

He isn’t even the most underrated PG ever.

Hell, he isn’t even the most underrated white PG ever. That would be Mark Price

You see the pasty white skin and the high-and-tight haircut and assume he's some Indiana farm boy, but then he opens his mouth and you remember he's straight up Brooklyn to his core

I always thought he was the model for the white guy in blue chips. Legit thought he was an Indiana farm boy until just now.

I honestly did not like watching him play. I thought he was way overrated, all sizzle and no steak. His highlights were awesome, but if he were the PG on my favorite team, he would have driven me insane with his turnovers and defense, etc. Iconic Nike dribbling commercials though.

Thank you. He was a knucklehead until Riles got in that arse.
