It’s the same amount of football. We are just deciding arbitrarily where to draw the line on the football that counts. And given the current version of CFB and historical trends, it’s pretty clear that there isn’t 12 worthy playoff teams every year. Most years there is 2. Some years it’s 3-4. Almost never more than that.
