Been a lurker here for years but wanted to tell two quick stories. In High School I wrestled in a weight class where girls wrestled and my coach told me to go easy and get it done fast. In one match I cross faced a girl and broke her nose and her dad threatened to kill my Mom. Another incident I played Hockey and we were a damn good team. The league forced us to have at least 1 girl on our team. She played sparingly but got 1 assist. That year I had 60 goals 20 more than the next person and was the reigning MVP. The league made her league MVP. She was smart enough though to reject the award but it just shows how equality isn't the goal, its preferential treatment.

This was such a joke - I have two daughters 10 and 11- both golfers ranked in the top 25 in the world for their ages- they watched that and both thought it was pathetic... had she been able to kick the ball into the end zone that’s one thing and I’d support it - but it was laughable... as my older daughter said - “it would be like me playing in the Masters and hitting a worm burner off the first tee and every one talking girl power” no thank you - earn your place

I couldn't imagine being a player on that team, how demeaning and humiliating to have to go through all this. Your team sucks, your coach (who is about to be fired) devises a publicity stunt, and you get lectured by your "teammate" at halftime.
