Maybe his directional kicking sucked?

Honestly, I don't even know why this bothers so many here so much. Vandy is terrible. Who really gives a shite? They got beat 41-0 so it's not like she had any negative impact on them winning or losing.

Again, I'll just say having her squib it was lame and it's dumb that they let her do a halftime speech which I think would be wrong for any player to do had they only been on the team a week.

Then have her do that normal kick and look bad that way. Having her squib is worse IMO b/c it makes it look like they are protecting her which to me as a player would condescending and insulting.

Apparently the previous kickers at Vandy are healthy but they chose to go with Sarah Fuller again. It was announced today and as a result, multiple Vandy players have walked away from the team. They know there are better options at kicker and they are fed up.

Well she might've.

They played MUCH, MUCH better than that against better teams the prior 3-4 weeks. The line in that Mizzou game from Vegas was pretty damn close.

Who is to say the team didn't just say "frick this shite" and not try.

What's dumb is making a woman kicking one kickoff for a terrible football team a political event to cry about.

W/the punter I think that can easily be explained by Mason not wanting to risk an injury to him and then have no kicker or punter.

With the club soccer team, were those guys even available. Again, it was Thanksgiving weekend.

Tennessee grabbed a kid literally out of a fraternity house the day before a game several years ago when they had a bunch of injuries and needed someone to kick. I actually think it may have been the game played on Thanksgiving weekend but don't quote me on that. I think if they called a kid on the club team up and asked him to come start on Saturday, they wouldn't have had trouble finding a guy. Regardless, she was announced on Monday. I don't think they were out for Thanksgiving yet. And the girl would have been planning to be home for Thanksgiving too, so that's not really an excuse.

You, obviously, have not been reading the multiple threads on the subject that started Friday and yesterday.

Any player that has a quitter mentality like that is a loser and deserves to get their arse kicked on the field anyway.

After her bullshite halftime speech, I bet this is exactly what happened. They made sure she would never get in FG range. Not sure they would have anyways, but they were motivated to not score.

If thats not lowering the bar , i dont know what is.

What is the accomplishment? What are we supposed to be celebrating here?

Imagine what it felt like to be K. Toney of Florida and having to share that award with her after you housed a punt.

Well when your coaches stop trying to win the game, it's tough to keep your competitive edge.

Not to mention her condescending, embarrassing half time speech.

Look like? It is probably a big reason why they did it. They didn't want her to potentially get lit the frick up.

That's the whole point of this charade. She doesn't have the skills to actually kick (there are some girls out there that do have it, but she isn't one of them). It is a PR stunt. Full stop. She isn't the best option. Rather they wanted to get some good PR in (likely driven by the AD). Then the media trips all over themselves about how great it was when in reality I see better kicking for the kid that plays safety but also plays kicker on my son's 8th grade b football team.

They lost 41-0.

I don't think Mason was planning on the game coming down to field position and field goals.

I was going to start a thread asking what the o/u for number of male students at Vandy that could kick better than her was.

like....70? maybe way fricking more.
