Nah. It's not gonna go well.
Les' Bo ball system isn't going to out-talent anyone at Kansas. They'll still be arse defensively and Miles offenses won't be geared for coming from behind.
The Miles method relies on running a bad offensive scheme that gets by on superior talent. Take a 2 touchdown lead and then drain clock while your defense takes care of the rest. He's missing all the pieces for this at Kansas.
Makes you wonder how he did so well taking over a crappy Oky State, doesn't it.

They are going to get destroyed in the trenches by Texas, Oklahoma, WVU and TCU

People act like Les Miles at Oklahoma State didn't happen. He turned their program around.

True, but it's still the big 12.
Him, Chavis and Briles should do good there.

He has Graham Harrell as the OC, he will hire Pelini to run the D

Gale Sayers and John Riggins both played for Kansas. Kansas has not always been terrible at football, just for a large part of the time.

Look at Oklahoma State’s history for the last 40 years or so. They were never anywhere close to as bad as Kansas is now. Gundy has been far more successful st osu than miles was. Miles tenure at Oklahoma state was pretty much par for the course.
The guy miles took over for was 30-38, which is bad, but nowhere near the dumpster fire that Kansas is.

Good Luck Les
Big 12 is a throwing league with no defense, he should be fine

Les will win 5 or less games the next four years and then he will be fired.
Bets?
Bets?

colorado has much more to offer, no comparison, why isn't miles all over that rather than kansas?
I agree, but Colorado doesn’t have much administrative support.
Kansas offers Jeff Long as AD. Miles trusts him, and I bet Kansas has sold they are eager and willing to elevate their football program.
Miles probably views the job as a chance to further his legacy in CFB. He wants to coach a few years, make a couple of bowl games, and set Kansas on the right track for future success.

Before Les took over at Oklahoma State, they had a losing record in 11 of the 12 previous seasons.
Kansas has had a losing record in 9 of the previous 12 seasons.
All Les has to do is consistently get Kansas to a Bowl Game and he will be a legend there.

That’s one hell of a coaching staff if he can pull it off
Isn’t frank wilson on the hot seat at UTSA as well? Could deffinitly see an easy fall back to Miles recruiting coordinator.

Yet he and some of his QBs hold the record for most come behind victories.

This is the big thing. Les has said he wants to go somewhere with the support to win championships. Always thought it was a little jab at Alleva. Long will give him full support.

I thought they fired Beaty? Dude is coaching tonight.
So they're doing all the hiring while the guy is still coaching? :consfused:

Les is still going to have a hard time getting recruits to Lawrence. Hes going from a hotbed state, to literally no HS talent.
Look up Les' recruiting history son, he has been a known recruiting Ninja for a loooong time, he recruited Colorado into National Championships, he invented winning in Stillwater and he kept pace with Saban and the bagman, He WILL LOAD the gun in Lawrence and Kansas will be competitive in the B12 in a couple years...
