ULM improves to 5-1 for the first time since 1987 Natty

Who would have thought the team who lost 10 straight last year would make a comeback to be one of the best teams in the Fun Belt. Bryan Vincent has to be in the conversation for coach of the year on that feat alone. He completely overhauled the roster adding 73 new players and has them all bought in. I know he will probably only be here for a short stint if things keep rolling, but its impressive as hell.
ULM had their highest attendance in more than 5 seasons during the win Satuday vs Southern Miss 22,645.
Luckily they have a bye this week before starting a tough stretch with back-to-back road games vs South Alabama, Marshall, but if they come out 7-1 to begin the stretch of TSU, Auburn, Ark State, ULL. That could shake out to be one hell of a game in Monroe Nov. 30 vs the Cajuns.
Benching hyped transfer General Booty has turned out to be a net positive for the offense. Freshman RB Ahmad Hardy is one of the best tailbacks in the Sun Belt already. Last 3 games: 309 yards 4 td 5.5 avg.
Cheers to the Warhawks preseason ranked #131 out of 134 teams

Continuing to have JMU ahead of us after we beat them and we have the same record is silly.
ETA: we’re definitely going to have to fight off the reputation we’ve built for ourselves over the last couple decades. There’s still plenty of bowl projections out there that don’t have us in.
