He beat an aging champion Aldo who is 4-6 after that fight and has only beat nobody's. Then he moved up a weight class when Holloway started taking off.

How many people has Conor actually fought in their prime?? I can name 3 Porier, Diaz, Khabib. Want to guess the common denominator??

Porier openly said that Connor got in his head their 1st fight and it fricked him up.

Since then Khabib fight, however, Conor doenst talk shite like he used to. That was one of his major weapons and he barely uses it anymore.

If the fight goes past the 1st, Conor will probably lose again. Porier is too proficient of a striker to not to connect. He looks to be quite a bit physically stronger than McGregor.

But McGregor, especially in the 1st, will have lightning in that left hand. I'm sure team Porier knows this, so they will stay away, then try to attack in rds 2, 3, etc.

In saying all that, if Conor did not have one of the worst head trainers in the business, I think he would be a huge favorite.. But since he refuses to leave his guy, this is a toss-up fight.

just about anyone who knows they can swing with him for 5 straight rounds such as Holloway, Diaz, Porier.

Such a stupid thing to say

bro, he cleaned out that featherweight division. he defeated poirier, aldo, holloway, and mendes... there was nobody left.

as far as lightweight, I think I disagree there also. That division was very strong. pettis was the champ for a few fights and were just moving out of the pettis/henderson/melendez era. That division was full of young killers that sprouted to what we saw today and solid vets.

And he can land that left whenever he wants according to Dominick Cruz.

Joking aside, didn’t Dustin said after he ate that left in their 2nd fight, he realized he was going to win because that Connor became a no threat.

Btw, Dustin moved from -105 to -135 this past week.

aldo hadnt lost a fight in like a decade, what are you talking about? he also came right back after that fight and beat frankie edgar for the interim strap.

are you saying alvarez after he just beat a very good dos anjos wasnt in his prime? he had just beat pettis and melendez and then came back later and beat gaethje.

mendes wasnt in his prime? as far as we know he may have been juiced up.

id argue that nate diaz is the worst loss on his record easily. and he took that fight at 170 against a much bigger dude that got a brick for a head.

Talked with someone who trains with DP. He told me DP has mentioned to them that Khabib was the most intuitive & unpredictable fighter he's ever been in the ring with. Said it was "exhausting" trying to keep up with Khabib.

whats your point? Ive seen you mention this twice. we both know he beat cowboy and alvarez at LW and lost to khabib and dustin.

My point is he has a losing record at LW

His 1 win was vs a guy that has lost almost every fight since then in alveraz

Connor is a very talented fighter and an all time showman. Hats off to him for all he’s accomplished, but his resume at 155 doesn’t deserve this much hype

Could you link this? I watched both fights and Dustin’s body language in the octagon was night and day. Second fight and now Dustin is top tier. He was loose and calm/focused next fight. This is such an interesting fight. Boxing fans always talk about what if they fought each other in the primes of their career. That first fight was 7 years ago man. McGregor does not get in Dustin’s head this time, either. Dustin in the championship rounds!

I love how everybody Conor has fought was past their prime Aldo was an absolute killer when Conor fought him and everybody had aldo winning that fight. Slept. And Alvarez was 28-4 rolling through people including prime RDA and Michael Chandler and what conor did to him was the equivalent of what spyder did to Forrest griffin, absolutely dismantled him. You can discredit him all you want but the fact is he’s one of the deadliest strikers to ever do it

I can agree with that last paragraph, SBG in Ireland isn’t up to par when compared to SBG on the west coast

McGregor gets destroyed again in the trilogy fight.

No way it goes the distance.

ETA: Come on "Down Voters" put your butts on the line with a 6 month ban when McGregor loses. I'll go off-line from this site for 6 months if the Irishman wins.

Back up you confidence with a ban bet.

Feel free to tell me what I said that wasn’t true.

He does have a losing record at LW

Eddie has lost almost every match since then both in and out of the ufc

These are just facts

So Covington finally released the video he’s been talking about in interviews of Poirier knocking out an amateur and standing over him and yelling at him while training for his Khabib match.

Covington Twitter

Poirier responded:
quote:

This is a pro fighter with 20 wins

Pretty weak from Covington. There’s nothing there.

It's a nothingburger but the tweet text is funny as shite.

quote:

The guy wearing full nerf gear head to toe to protect his face and his feelings is Poirier. The guy with no headgear, wrestling credentials or brain cells left is “khabib"

Colby reaching with this trying to stir shite up and get in Dustin’s head IMO. Looks like normal sparring to me.
