Poirier? You think Dustin moves up to 170?

poirier wanted to do this fight with conor at 170. I could see if poirier wins the belt and colby wins against usman them getting it on.

If I take the time to dig through YouTube videos to find it, are you going to watch it? He’s clearly said it, they use the clip on some of the fight promotions followed by Conor getting in his face at the weigh ins... there’s also a clip of Dustin saying in a hotel lobby how he really can’t stand that guy (McGregor)

He also said it in his Rogan interview. Pretty sure he’s said it a few times.

He said it in his most recent Rogan podcast. I think the full episode is on Spotify. I think it was toward the beginning of the interview.

I’m maybe more excited for the Ryan Hall fight than any of them

Same, most technical BJJ artist on the planet vs. a guy who’s an elite MMA grappler but also technical. Gonna be an awesome fight

eh...could have had something to do with the charity kerfuffle although I do tend to think the whole thing was staged.

Ryan Hall fight

I'm just glad he finally got someone to fight him.

I'd like to see him fight Thug Nasty for another grappling masterclass.

yeah hall even though he is undefeated hasn't fought the best guys. This guy is somewhat legit though. I want to see hall fight a top guy and thug nasty would be a great bout. he hasnt fought since his epic rant about covid aimed at the arkansas gov.

Pretty sure I heard that Poirier wanted this fight at 170 but McGregor or UFC wanted it at 155

I don't get it. Thug was/is a huge rising star in UFC and he's been ghosted since Halloween. I don't know if Dana was pissed at his rant or if he just wants to get better before he fights again.

All I know is, he was kind of on the same trajectory as Suga Shawn, and O'Malley has fought like 3 times it seems in 3 months, after coming off a torn ACL, and Mitchell is nowhere to be found. He doesnt even really have a Social media presence anymore.

It was just a little Twitter back and forth between DP & CM before they signed. It wasn't serious.

McGregor should never fight at 170... Ever. His cardio at that weight is even shittier than at his cut down 155.

Besides, has anyone ever seen the guy in person? He's absolutely tiny, especially his legs. He's just got no thick base at all, whereas a guy like Khabib is like a lumberjack in his lower body. Even Porier looks like a normal dude walking around, but Conor looks damn near anorexic up close.

Yeah he is built weird. Not sure how it plays into his cardio but the power has always been there for him.

quote:

The average UFC fighter has recorded 1 knockdown for every 48 minutes and 29 seconds in the octagon. Conor McGregor has averaged 1 knockdown every 8 minutes, 16 seconds. That's the record for fastest rate in UFC history (min. 10 fights)

I really think most of his weight is in his long arse arms, hands and upper back. That's got to be where he gets his power from, because it damn sure ain't his lower half.
