Yes, I was just stating that he retired after his dad passed and making a promise to his mom. I meant tapping Conor meant that chapter for him was closed

At the end of thebday Conor loss, he didn't do terrible against Khabib but he still got tapped. End of story when it comes down to it. Passing up money doesnt mean shite to this dude apparently. Dont lose at the end of the day. Conor sold the shite out of that fight for over a yr. Made a ton of money but loss. I like Conor is he overrated yea probably a little, but he still had a great run. This weekend should be fun, I kind was hoping for a Conor and Justin G fight or Jorge v Conor
We'll see how this fight breaks out especially if Dustin cant get pass the 1st round without getting slept

I think that fight is the fight that fuels him in a positive way. No one did very well against Khabib and Conor can still hold on to how he feels he performed while allegedly not being in a good place. Now he never got the rematch that would've proved he couldn't win.

It shouldn't. Khabib is literally the best to ever do it. I think I read not only is he undefeated but he literally only lost one round on the cards while in UFC and that was to Conor. This is a man who I have watched spar/roll with legitimate Olympic wrestlers and out wrestle them with no actual wrestling background. Dude is just on another planet

But it does. Dude got dropped with a sloppy looping overhand punch from a wrestler. Conor would call that punch (along with khabib’s striking) “sloppy” 10-outta-10 times, but he got dropped with that sloppy striking. Then khabib gave him blue lips and make him tap….literally made his arse wilt & quit.
Adding insult to injury, khabib called Conor a fake Irishman, and asked why he speaks English if he’s Irish. Then, khabib refuses to give Conor another chance for a rematch….Conor will hate khabib for life for what he did to him.

You are overthinking it. I havent seen many high profile fighters handle losses better than mcgregor.

I get it, mcgregor is a polarizing figure but some people get stupid when he is brought

dude beat:
max holloway
dustin poirier
jose aldo
eddie alvarez
nate diaz
chad mendes

4 of those 6 have held a belt in the ufc.

no doubt, one of the best ever. dude is worth half a billion dollars and people here are trying to talk shite on the guy after he got finished by Dustin, one of the toughest motherfrickers ever, and is getting right back in the ring with him 4 months later. get the frick out of here. love him or hate him, you have to respect what he is doing as a competitor.

Conor fought Max Holloway one time very early in their career. It was also a featherweight fight and Max was one of the only people to take Conor to a decision. Personally I don't think McGregor wanted to deal with that smoke for the next few years. He knew he could out strike a lot of lightweight fighters and had speed on them without losing much power.

Say what you want about McGregor but he has struggled against just about anyone who knows they can swing with him for 5 straight rounds such as Holloway, Diaz, Porier.

He left the featherweight division as it got better and joined the lightweight division as it got weaker. Not to mention they couldn't even get a fight scheduled with the 2 best contenders of the time Ferguson and Kahbib.
