Agreed, they were giving tickets away in Lafayette. My office got a bunch. I ask my guys if they wanted any. I think maybe one guy took a couple of tickets. I threw rest away.

bc i was there last year... ECU had like three plaza sections and ULL had half the dome
That's about right. Paid attendance last year was around 48,000.
I'll be damned if there weren't 40,000 actual ULL butts in the seats.

Go to the LHSAA state title games. The popular games draw as much as the NO bowl & they accurately report the attendance. It's always about 30-35k. Full lower bowl & loge.

Tulane fans are shitty but they are gonna come out to this game.
Posted on 12/3/13 at 1:55 pm to Lester Earl
Probably closer to:
33,500 Cajuns fans
6,500 Tulane fans
5,000 neutrals

So you don't think this game breaks an attendance record?
Posted on 12/3/13 at 1:59 pm to hendersonshands
if Tulane only draws 6500 to a home bowl game they should quit football and dynamite Yulman Stadium...

I'm talking about people at the game, not tickets sold. Hopefully Tulane can get up to 10,000 sold. They reported almost 49,000 last year. I'm looking to see how many tickets we sold.
Could be closer to
35,000
10,000
5,000

still think Tulane will draw more. Back in the 98 season they were drawing 30k in the dome. A lot of those people will come out.

If Tulane uses their method of coming up with announced attendance, 90,000 will be in attendance. Open the Dome's roof.

There's no tickets actually being used that aren't counted as "paid."

it doesn't matter.
the students won't, but when that stadium opens, it will be full
alums, students, football fans who live uptown...it is going to be a great atmoshphere, cheap ticket and really convenient

i dont even know what that means

You think the students are going to go to a bowl 4 days before Christmas? Hopefully Tulane gets closer to 20,000 fans. That would be a pretty cool atmosphere.

Tulane's announced attendance figures are hilarious.

that would be more valid if they made one every year and they had to travel for it...

when you're a freshman at tulane, you cannot have a car until you're a junior
so you have to get up early in the morning to make the school bus to downtown, tailgate under an interstate, then watch a team that sucks in a huge dome
not quite the college experience
there is no school pride with our sports, and I that will change with the new stadium and the new students who will go to games and it will be part of the experience.

not sure how strong the student contingent will be.
a lot of apathetic fans with nothing to do on a Saturday night will show up i believe. We shall see
