This dude is STILL in concussion protocol

But everything's alright

quote:

MIAMI -- Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa remains in the concussion protocol and will not participate in next week's Pro Bowl Games, a source told ESPN on Friday.

Tagovailoa had been named a first alternate Pro Bowler and was set to replace either Joe Burrow or Patrick Mahomes, with both quarterbacks playing in Sunday's AFC Championship Game and one bound for Super Bowl LVII. However, Tagovailoa entered the protocol Dec. 26 after suffering a concussion in Miami's loss to the Green Bay Packers the day before and missed the team's final three games of the season, including a wild-card loss to the Buffalo Bills.

According to the source, Tagovailoa's time in the protocol has been deliberate as he meets with multiple doctors and specialists. There have not been any setbacks as the Dolphins prioritize his long-term health.

It's disgraceful. He's a 30 for 30 waiting to happen and no one around him seems to give a shite

LSU fans seem juuuuust a bit more concerned with Tua retiring bc of concussions than they have been with any other player in NFL history

The Pro Bowl will be a “reimagined” game this year. It’s a flag football game.

You know his head still a spinning pile of mush if he can’t throw a few passes in a flag football game. Unfortunately it sounds like he’s still in bad shape.

I'd bet that if the Dolphins were in the AFC Championship game this weekend, he wouldn't be in concussion protocol. It makes absolutely no sense for Tua to come back just to play in a meaningless game like the Pro Bowl after what he's been through this season.

He should have never come back this season after the first one.

Head trauma has been a huge emphasis over the last decade, and Tua has been concussed too many times in his young career.

Tua needs to go take lessons from pro wrestlers on how to fall properly. Dude is an expert on bouncing his head off of the ground when he gets tackled.

When Luck retired I fully understood why, when a bunch of other fans were busy calling him a big pussy. When Collie and Welker were getting a concussion every other week I said they needed to hang it up before they become a vegetable. Regardless of what school Tua went to in college, he's put himself in that category with the amount of injuries and concussions he's had so early in his career.

I hate it for him I really do, but I just don't see him lasting much longer if this keeps up.
