The effed up cap around the league means a lot of good players will be looking for spots

okc has had a terrific offseason

They really have
Third best team in the west behind GSW and SA? Or OKC behind houston?

Agreed
I think SA has some real problems going in to next season and will fall off 5-8 games
Maybe GSW, then OKC, then HOU, then SA with minny a distant 5th?

its kinda crazy how meh san antonios roster is after kawhi

San Antonio is a bunch of niche players who excel at their niche. Unreal they're that good the last 2 years.

But gasol and Aldridge are showing signs of falling off a cliff and that will cripple the Spurs
Gasol couldn't play against GSW and Aldridge got killed in PnR defense and offered little on offense unless he was under the basket.

Per Mannix, two league executives consider Marc Gasol a player to watch as Celtics angle for further upgrades.

Now that would be interesting

To say the least. Celtics would be extremely, extremely good at that point, in theory.

I don't see them pulling Gasol, but that would be really interesting. Exactly what they need.

I wonder what it would take. But that would give Boston a type of player that GS or CLE doesn't have.

They have three top-five picks in their arsenal along with two No. 3 picks on their team right now. They've got plenty of enough. Gasol is 32 and Memphis really isn't going anywhere with how the team is together

They've got plenty to get him, I don't think they'll be willing to part with what Memphis would want. I think Memphis would ask for a huge return and Ainge hasn't exactly been willing to part with that

That team reminds me of the CP3/West/Chandler/Peja Hornets crew. Memphis fans will look back on the golden years fondly.

That and he's 32 and been playing professionally since 2003 so he's got some miles on those tires. On the other hand, he is coming off one of his better seasons statistically
