Like that. Extend Covington in November and the Sixers had a perfect offseason

but go look Calvin murphy's career and tell me he should be in over iggy

seems like murphy got a big boost from being a 3x all american in college

but anyway, someone with those same exact career numbers without the college resume isnt getting in todays HOF

iggy doesnt have any all nba teams nor a league MVP. its not something to even really discuss

There's a gray area in that rule in regards to when exactly a player turns 38, its not as simple as you think.

With this evening's developments, kind of getting the feeling that Millsap will be Denver bound which is a great fit.

please explain to me the gray area

if he turned 38 at any point in time during the contract, he would qualify

I'm a closet sixers fan this year

I've turned them into a dynasty on NBA2k, so I've had a soft spot for a year or two as well.

trust me, when I typed that I had no intention on saying "He's getting in" as it stands.

But if he wins more rings and plays a significant role...he can have an argument for it.

Hats off to Steiny Mo though. He DID NOT have to continue to work. Could've easily complained like Britt McHenry

Stein has talent and class. Britt not so much.

Gs cap issues are drastically overrated by people who don't understand the difference between the salary cap and luxury tax. As long as dray and klay are cool with 25 mil or less coming up that bill is feisable

The Warriors are at the luxury tax with Curry, Durant, Thompson, Green, and the rest of the roster filled out with minimum players.

Thompson will command a max deal when he can sign a new contract. I could see Green not taking a max deal even if he was offered one.

Apparently the rule outlines that the age stipulation is set by the season itself and is not factoring when the contract was signed. In other words, 4 years from exactly now Nene will will be 37. So if the time period starts from the time he signed the contract, it works. Instead, it says that he must not be 38 by the start of the season going into his last year . Nene turns 38 in between July 1st and October 1st.

To be fair...

quote:

The rule changes the "over-36 rule" to an "over-38 rule." Previously, no player over the age of 36 could sign a four- or five-year contract if he turned 36 before Oct. 1 of any of the years of the deal. Under the new rule, that age is raised to 38.

Den has $34 mm in space, could see them nabbing Gallo and Millsap by moving a little $, offering years. twitter.com/sam_amick/stat…

In theory

Mudiay
Harris
Gallo
Millsap
Jokic

Murray
Lyles
Lyden
Faried
Juancho
Plumlee

Beasley

Still think DEN needs to consolidate more and package some of these guys.

Okay then. Daryl Morey is an idiot and you know more than him. What team are you currently working for? Had no idea NBA gms were posting here.
