They weren't in the tax this year

Steph could have made 24 million last year and they still would not have been in the cap. Gs cap issues are drastically overrated by people who don't understand the difference between the salary cap and luxury tax. As long as dray and klay are cool with 25 mil or less coming up that bill is feisable

Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen Rockets would send just some of their players with non-guaranteed contracts. None of the others or picks involved in talks.

How are the rockets going afford that?

Are suggesting Iguodala as a HOFer? Wow

I have to assume that they will be in cap hell in three years. I think they are paying absurd luxury taxes right now.
however, the warriors are staring down tax hell. they are going to be paying out a record luxury tax in 2019 and probably 2020 as well

I missed that, basketball reference has his probability at 2.8%

In 2013 Brooklyn nets owner paid an 80 million dollar luxury tax bill. Again, wrong on "record" bill. Salary cap will be about 110 and luxury tax around 135 in 2019. The salary e
Would have to be 215 million to match the nets record its not half that now

A lot of writers have been talking about it. I'm purely assuming they win 2 more championships before he retires. That'd put him at
4 Championships
1 Finals MVP
Olympic Gold Medalist
2x All-defensive team
1x All-Star
Do I think he deserves it, no. But its not the hardest thing to make it to the HOF either (compared to other sports at least). 4 rings and a finals MVP, history of being a defensive stout player on those championship teams, he might have a case. At least far better than just 2 rings. He's in the same group as Horry now, but he was a better player than Horry in his prime.

I think their sAlary will be about 160 million in 2020 when its said and done. Which will put them at aporox 25 million over the luxury tax at the time
Shot Portland pays that now
Face it the dubs have no bad contracts. They will be over but they have no dengs on board making it undoable
Replace west iggy and Livingston with macaw bell and insert ring chaser

The basketball hof is really lax. The finals MVP, which he had no business getting, probably gets him in.

In other news, PHO has backed out of the Millsap sweepstakes which puts DEN and MIN as frontrunners. MIN would have to make some moves to clear some cap though I believe
