Believe it or not That's my cousins name so the phone is used to seeing that and doesn't autocorrect.

I know they 'have' to do this, but that's pretty bad.

Yeah. Kevin Durant's career earnings at this point is $132 million.

I love the NBA, and I hate to say this with the Rockets on a mega payroll right now, but definitely seems like the bubble is going to pop. TV money will go down. Hopefully, the NBA finds money elsewhere. I think the jersey sponsors is a necessity. Those may get substantially bigger if the next TV deal is a bust.

I'm remembering the whole Lebron to New York narrative pre-2010(with absolutely no mention of Miami). I think fricking Stephen A was the first one to get the scoop on that. Lebron to Cleveland really wasn't a thing until the Dan Gilbert meeting rumors. Lebron's camp has been pretty good his whole career on only letting news they want to get out get out.
Sports media on the other hand has been very quick to run with non-stories in the past, especially regarding the Lakers & Lebron(separately).

Your owner seems to have the same feelings

The Miami stuff was definitely out there for a long time.

You honestly think all of the media is just making this up out of nowhere?
Yes i do. You really think the media doesn't do this? Especially for their big market teams?

LeBron's agent has already contacted the Lakers. It's time to start believing something.

A lot of this was due to the GSW and CLE playoff runs. Had both conf finals and the finals gone 6 or 7 there woulda been a lot more $$.

Woj has been mentioning the Lebron/Lakers thing for a while now. Then Lebron makes a grand entrance to sit courtside at a Lakers summer league game when he didn't even attend any of the Cavs' SL games iirc.
There has been quite a bit of smoke imo.

And now that KCP is a Laker, Magic and Pelinka can be in constant contact with Lebron's agent without it being considered tampering.
Someone would have to be very naive to think the Lakers aren't already pitching Lebron/Rich Paul behind the scenes.

Since when does anyone in the NBA give a frick about tampering?? That exact story is what I'm talking about. The Lakers signing KCP has somehow turned into Lebrons camp initiating contact with Lakers and Lakera being coy & making themselves front runners in the 2018 sweep stakes.

It is really going to dissapoint me in Lebron if he goes to the Lakers. About the only team in the West I would want him going to outside of NOLA would be the Spurs. He has never really had a great coach so that would be interesting to see.

I still don't think Lebron is going to the west. Especially after this FA period. At this stage of his career, why make the playoff run harder for you?
