It's going to be so odd seeing Rondo in a Pels jersey. I've always hated that guy. That being said I hope Boogie, AD, Jrue and Rondo become bffs and create the chemistry needed to win.
Our team definitely got better today (by sheer addition of a competent basketball player), but I'm not sure by how much.

I think the Pelicans just got worst. Went from the 9th seed to the 11th or 12th. They are also one of the oldest teams in the league. Just keep on piling up the bad trades and signings..

They got worse by giving a guy a 1 year deal that, if it's not working out, they can just bench?
I wonder how concerned the Warriors are that signing Swaggy P might make them miss the playoffs.

I love when people compare random teams and their situations to the world champs. Not like the champs have a good owner, coach, former league MVPs, solid vets or an incredible team culture they can lean on..
But sure, put that cancer on the bench. I'm sure he'll be the ultimate team guy. Ask the Mavs how that worked..

Jrue and Rondo are going to terrorize backcourts on defense. Best defensive backcourt we've ever had.

I know I should just ignore you, but how do you get "worst" by adding a player that is worst case the 6th best player on your team?
He did have a shitty situation in Dallas, but he has a friend in Cousins on the team and he has a good relationship with Erman that should keep him in check. He was awesome in the playoffs last year.

He straight up QUIT on them in the middle of a playoff game. The situation was shitty b/c of him and him alone. Dallas wanted him to be their PG for the next several years when they traded for him. Sacto thought he'd be a good piece. Chicago thought the same. All three punted after a single season. NOBODY wants to keep him after they get him on their team b/c he is that big of a jack arse.

Why should they trade him now? The Knicks will probably make the playoffs with him. The East is super weak. He'd have more trade value next summer..
