Why? He's young and has 4 years on his contract

Do you think the Hawks are going to do anything in these next 4 years? Looks like they have a tank job going this season.

The biggest question mark in all of this is the Tyler Johnson contract. He's making 5 mil this year and then is back loaded with back-to-back 20 mil seasons. He's a decent complimentary piece, but he's not worth that amount of cheese.

I'm sure they would've loved to have given him a more reasonable deal but the Nets' sole purpose has become to frick over as many teams' rfa deals as they can.

I feel like all RFA deals are like this. It's understandable when you can oversign with bird rights and no cap room left. The problem is, Miami didn't HAVE to match last year, we had plenty of cap room to move with in the future, including this year. I know there is a cap floor, but back loading 20mil/yr on a guy of Tyler Johnson's caliber is just silly no matter how you slice it.

So you re-sign him when he's 27. That should probably be the prime of his career in that contract. You can't dump every player.

If anyone else, you gotta dump Baze first if we're just unloading salary.

Now this means KCP is probably gone. Perfect time for someone to swoop in and offer him and deal knowing Detroit probably won't match

This tells me that they aren't matching any big offers for KCP. They were already hard-capped and couldn't match a max if KCP signed one. Now, I'd imagine that they are taking on more salary than they are sending out in this deal.

Well Boston did need a starting power forward with Olynyk and Zeller gone

I'd feel sorry for someone who signed KCP to a max or near max

Yeah on Schroeder you might as well see what he develops into. It would be dumb to dump him now

What's the logic behind this move?

I really like Bradley's game, I feel he's a bit underrated.

So, they cut 3.8 in cap space, which should allow them to sign Hayward.

Detroit has to send more than Morris, no way they get away with not adding picks to that.
