Here are the QBs on that list:

49. Doug Flutie
48. Danny Wuerffel
47. Marcus Mariota
45. Peyton Manning
38. Matt Leinart
36. Archie Manning
33. John Elway
30. Cam Newton
12. Tommie Frazier
8. Vince Young
6. Tim Tebow

Which one of those would you take over Deshaun Watson? If you say anyone other than Cam, Frazier, Young, or Tebow, that's fine, but my team is likely beating yours.

To have people like Vince Young and Tim Tebow at 6 and 8 and not even have Deshaun on the list is just a cosmic embarrassment. Once again, as they have for the past two years when it came time for awards, the collective college football media has taken a giant dump on themselves when it comes to appreciating Deshaun.

He's been the best player in college football the last two years, and if you think Vince and Tebow are top 10 then Deshaun surely is. What can either of them do that he can't?

Newton is also severely underrated, but I imagine that's likely due to his single season as a starter.

With so many RBs on the list Ricky Williams at 37 is an insult

Uh, Oklahoma State is in Oklahoma PJ. The only state that had a better college RB than Sanders is Georgia.

I agree. Had he come back for his senior season, Auburn is likely up there with LSU and Alabama, and the SEC West would've been fricking stacked with top 5 teams. Auburn would've finished with, at worst, 2 losses (LSU sand Alabama) and he would've set even more records.

You are trolling to think Sims was not best in Oklahoma history You can try to say Washington but it isn't Dupree

Definitely not Dupree, I was gonna say Peterson, but looking at the stats I'll say Simms for sure. He's still not close to Sanders though

I was replying to a specific post in which you said those 3 guys had better careers, the stats do not support that no matter how much you want to move the goalposts.

My first post in this thread mentioning other backs:

He could easily name 50 or more running backs that had better, more consistent careers. Two of his three seasons were not very good. I'm sure you'll make a lot of excuses, but ultimately his career was just ordinary.

One should examine season by season statistics when quantifying consistency, which I did. Just because Fournette is unable to reach my original bar doesn't mean I altered its location.

You're absolutely right about the cancelled game. Fournette absolutely would have shredded McNeese State in Syracusesque fashion and inflated his numbers. LSU was ranked in that season's inaugural top 4. They had a chance for a national title if their "star" RB didn't rush for around 30 yards against Alabama.

Petersen was the most heralded recruit but he is probably 2nd or 3rd depending who you ask and age. Also Gaddis is hard to rank as he never came back after the injury

To me it's
Sims
Washington/Peterson (depends if odd or even Day)
Davis
Dupree

Now guys who are good but not elite
Griffith
King
Overstreet

The other hard part about OU is the Wishbone because Lydell Carr and etc never get due as they were never given the Ball or showcased

No Matthieu, no care. No Darren McFadden?
these are the two strangest omissions I noticed. McFadden was a running RB so competition at the position is pretty steep but Matthieu has to be on the list.

You think Deshaun is better than Tebow?

Matt leniart at 38 is criminal. He should be top 10.

Vince Young is 30 spots too high

That was more on the COACH than Fournette... If you can't see that then there is NO hope for you............

Call me a homer but I take Charlie ward over plenty of those. And I agree with I'm taking Watson over a good bit of them. Seriously if a guy like Charlie ward comes out today where in the draft does he go?

Great players overcome that. Darren McFadden, for example, played for a run heavy, one dimensional coach and he also had a parade of shite sandwiches at QB. Everyone in the stadium knew McFadden or Jones was getting the ball. Under those circumstances, he carried Arkansas to a victory against eventual national champion LSU. He almost did the same the year before in a game where Casey Dick went something like 3-18. Against that caliber of opponent and under those circumstances Fournette rushes for 30 yards in convincing defeats.

FWIW, McFadden's coach was far worse than Les. Les is the best coach in LSU's history.

How? Nick Saban won a higher pct of games and same amount of natl titles and SEC titles, Dietzel won a natl title undefeated as well.
