Bunch of Bengals fans are enjoying Watt being out and screaming Karma today.

So what say the unbiased fans of BengalDroppings - dirty or fair?

Fair. Could have really blew him up but gave Burrow his back/shoulder. Burrow shouldn’t be chasing.

100% clean. He was a potential tackler. And it wasn't that bad of a hit.

It seems fair, it just looks weird. It almost looks like he is going low, but he doesn’t really.

I think he is trying to block him without getting penalized, that’s the thought process. Which is a shame players have to play that way.

Burrow would probably be the first to tell you that's a clean hit

Love Joe but there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. Joe was in pursuit. Watt removed him from the play without killing him (and he certainly could have).

It can be a legal hit and dirty at the same time.

I wouldnt really call it dirty though, just more unnecessary, but thats football and and defensive player makes that hit.

Bengals fans supported Vontaze Burfict for a decade. They have 0 room to complain about dirty plays

If anything he restrained himself because he knew how soft Joe was

Not even sure why it's a question.

Burrow was hustling pretty good to make a play. Watt made sure he wouldn't make a play.

Clean. Watt made sure he got his head in front of him.

That's an illegal hit these days.

There was nothing wrong with the hit. Watt went for Burrow instead of the OL because Burrow actually had the speed to make a play. Twitter is such a shithole from hell

I believe that is an illegal block now. A player cannot come back towards his own goalline to block another player.

The NFL adopted this rule last year. The exact letter of the law is this: "It is a foul if a player initiates a block when his path is toward or parallel to his own end line and makes forcible contact to his opponent with his helmet, forearm, or shoulder."

Watt had a similar hit last year on Burrow on an INT return. Wouldn't say it's illegal but to say Watt hasn't been going out his way to lay a hit on Burrow is foolish.

Unless there was a whistle blown, the play is still in effect. With a turnover in effect, Burrow is now a tackler.

Besides, that was very far from a hard hit. All he did was basically cut in front of him. It's not like he blew him up.
