That's because Burrow isn't made out of soy like most of his fanbois

Was a borderline blind side block. If he used more force it 100% would and should have been called.

I don't think it's borderline.

Watt's back was to his goal line (further upfield than the defender). That's the definition. It's illegal. I get that a lot of fans don't want it to be illegal.

The other part of the play is that you can't even touch a QB unless he takes an active act to try and be a defender. In this case, it's pretty obvious Burrow does do that. If he hadn't, that would also be a penalty.

Looks fair to me.

Joe is a baller, so he's going to pursue. He just needs to learn to look before diving dick-first into a mosh pit.

Watt had a similar hit last year on Burrow on an INT return. Wouldn't say it's illegal but to say Watt hasn't been going out his way to lay a hit on Burrow is foolish.

Yeah, fair to say karma has paid him back.

if this is what you are referring to LINK

Saying he’s trying to “hit”
Burrow last year in that clip is laughable. If anything, he’s holding him.

Same people that complain about football becoming soft whine about the dumbest shite.

Looks clean, but the video does not show where the ball was. Only mention this because a twitter response talked about Heyward not doing anything because the play was over; even though Joe was hustling.

The other question would be in regards to the latest blindside blocking rules, and coming back from the endzone. I don't know the rule that well, but it looks like it could be deemed illegal depending on the interpretation. *I hate these rules, but they are the rules the players have to abide by

I believe that is an illegal block now. A player cannot come back towards his own goalline to block another player.

There are penalties every week for illegal plays that aren't dirty. For a blindside block I think this one is pretty tame.

If it happened to my QB I would be raging though

if this board is anything to go by, most bengals fans were cheering for some other team back then

Very fair. He could've destroyed him. He just got in his way enough to keep him out of the play. Can't believe anyone is bitching about that. I applaud TJ for not laying his arse out.

Why would that not be fair?

It's not like a punter who's just standing there on a return and doesn't give a frick and two dudes pound him to the ground.

If you're gonna chase the play, expect to be hit.

Kudos to Burrow for looking to tackle and kudos to Watt for giving him a soft block.

If you throw an INT and you're chasing the play, you lose "QB privileges."

The Saints did far ore to Matt Ryan and Kurt Warner and both of those plays were fair.
