Who should have been there?

Their resume was better than any contender. Getting beat was expected, although no one expected it to be this bad.

This has to be one of the worst jokes I've ever seen on the msb. Were you expecting people to agree that 38-0 was a fluke?

Cook needed to outplay Coker and State needed to pick off one of the jump ball plays Kiffin likes to call. The interception was a killer. I also think it didn't help that State got Bama'd a bit by things like the hands to the face penalties. The bottom line is that it's impossible to beat Bama in power football.

The win isn't a fluke, the margin is.

It was actually a real game for the entire first half.

The teams looked pretty even...if MSU gets that TD just before the half then it is 10-7 and things might have been different. Henry wasn't doing crap in the 1st half and there was no Bama dominating the line of scrimmage.

But MSU seemed to lose all confidence once down 17 points...and then Bama's D-line started to dominate and the game became a joke.

So we shouldn't believe the results on the field but rather a really shitty posters preconceived thoughts on how the game would play out. Sounds about right.

They were only in this because Michigan's punter lost his brain.

MSU had no real business in this playoff. In any honest assessment, MSU was About #10

definitely.

they were never a top 3 team.

they should have been ranked 4th to begin with and faced clemson any ways.

oh well it doesn't matter. same 2 teams probably wind up in the championship any ways given today's performances.. but you never know.

No that game was over when it was announced. That's how Bama plays against everyone. Go back and look at the Bama vs LSU game. It was almost identical in the first half except LSU actually scored. The wear and tear adds up and they pull away in the 2nd half due to superior talent and depth.

You're using "great" very loosely when describing MSU

Wear and tear and Bama's great D-line,

But constant DB bump and holding.

Why is this never called on them.

NFL, the way Bama's DB's play - it would be PI or holding on almost every play. They face-guard and hug receivers and push them out of bounds 15 yards down the field.

There were 3 Sparty drops where the Bama DB just crashed into the WR without ever turning his head around and Herbie says - great coverage.

Strange in bowl season college is so lax compared to the NFL?

I will say this... Bama is the Duke of college football... They just get away with shite that other teams don't. BUT I don't think it would have mattered tonight... Against Clemson it will matter... IMO A few calls will go Bama's way on the 11th... Not saying it will win the game for them, But it will hurt Clemson... Both teams are on a mission and if Bama is as focused as they were tonight Clemson could be in trouble....
