None of these great throwbacks can ever be worn again thanks to Goodells idiotic "only one helmet per year" virtue signaling rule

No, the Redskins have a beautiful helmet now. I have one in the sports room and up close it really stands out over most of the others IMO (I'm not a skins fan so not a homer pick).

ETA;

as for the OP, yes bring these back

and these

Can the Cowboys please bring back these beauties? I had to have one of these then, so we went to the mall and I got an Irvin.

The reverse version with the blue sleeves/numbers, and white crest looked badass too.

What is that exactly? They need to use the same helmet? The Broncos helmet yesterday I’m assuming is the same then as normal; original ones were a more royal blue than yesterday’s navy.

The rams switch off, I guess they just change stickers?

Those uniforms are...unfortunate. But I guess they're appropriate for Denver.

I've always liked the royal blue jerseys from the 60/70/80s.

Earlier I forgot to add these, an upgrade back to the old days and away from the garbage they wear now

Oh big difference.

Still the same.

Now contrast modern Pats to old Pats...and tell me the Raiders did the same...then you got me.

They just change decals. The helmet rule causes more concussions than it prevents

This is just one of those "all the uniforms now suck! All the old uniforms were better!" type threads.

The “older is always better” nonsense is such a fascinating phenomenon. I don’t get it either. No telling what these same people have stashed away in moth balls and formaldehyde in their attic. I did really like the old Patriots, Dolphins, and Falcons jerseys. The rest are rather uninspiring.

The former artist in me likes bold and creative. I can’t help it.

I want the old NY Jets unis back too if we’re advocating a throwback alternate!

It is a nostalgia thing for me. Those uniforms remind me of the 80's when I was a kid and times were simpler. I like a lot of the new uniforms too...but the throwbacks are great in their own right.

Tampa must have been high on something when they approved their current uniforms. They need to go back to the patterns they used during the Sapp era.

Why would that ever be made a rule? They couldn't just put a cap on it like the jerseys 3 times a year?

The rule for uniforms should be one helmet for your usual home and away uniforms.

Then one home throwback or classic alternate with a different helmet if they so choose. And then one color rush or other themed concept uniform to be worn in total for no more than 4 games in total.

I liked the ‘80s too when times were simpler. But that doesn’t mean I want to wear the same ugly clothes I had then. If I want to go back in a time warp I’ll find a Nintendo to play again. There are some throwbacks I really like. But most of them are bad or just so so.
