My only complaint with the Superdome is you can’t see all of the end zone from some seats.
That said, its location is convenient in that you can walk to the Dome from the quarter. New Orleans is by far the best Final four location I’ve been to.

The renovated Dome is nicer than Allegiant. Although Jerry World is “ nicer “ the Dome has more character and it gets louder in there for games not to mention the location is much better One of my favorite memories is 1981 NCAA regional final LSU vs Wichita State and also the LSU Georgetown basketball game

Don't forget Boston and Foghat!
The only complaint I've had about the Dome is that the sinks in men's room deceive to be urinals. Are they still like this?

Seems weird to write an article about the dome and not mention the Saints, Drew Brees or Sean Payton even once.
Of all the great moments to occur in the dome the homecoming game in 2006 is number 1 IMO.

That's easily the most flattering picture of New Orleans ever taken.
The more you zoom in the worse it gets

I agree. Been there many many times.

Not that this affects its national prestige, but the high school football finals are awesome in the Dome.

The Dome WILL be the reason we eventually lose the Saints. I can tell you exactly how it's going to happen if you want to hear about it.
Gayle will eventually die. She's stated she wants the team to stay in NOLA and all this bullshite, but somebody will eventually buy the team from the trust or from whatever. That person will then tell the state "I want a new stadium. I want it to be the best arena in the league, and the state is going to pay for it."
Then the state will say "no, we can't. We don't have any money."
Then San Antonio or St Louis will say "WE'LL PAY FOR A NEW STADIUM!"
Then I'm going to say "I've said this was going to happen for the last few decades. I told you all it would happen. And I told you all we should be putting money together for a new arena instead of $400 million dollar bandaids here and there. We could have saved up for a new stadium by now without all these stupid renovations on the oldest stadium in the league..."

I watched the rebels play in the superdome against the scumbag evangle team for 1A like 5 times there. Those kids were lucky to play there, not something other state Champs get to experience.

They forgot to mention Tim Rattay vs Shaun King

Why should it be the state of Louisiana’s responsibility to pay for a new stadium?

How often do you sit in those? Us commoners don't give a shite about that.

Why should it be any other state or city's responsibility? It shouldn't be. But it is.
It's not fair that it happens, but it does. So while you're here asking "Why should it be the state of Louisiana’s responsibility to pay for a new stadium?", San Antonio and St Louis will say "We want the team. We'll build the stadium". Then you lose your team.
