You can't really say it made a difference when they gave up 21 points in one quarter and Brady broke the record for most passing yards in one Super Bowl game

Your life must suck if you have to go so far to disparage Brady's accomplishments when literally every major sports pundit agrees Brady is the GOAT

Look at this very board. It is very split. I would say that mimics the pulse of the nation.

I would say it is close to 50/50 if you did a nationwide poll

It hasn't been 50/50 since Super Bowl XLIX. You do a poll of the country now and, outside Louisiana and Tennessee, the vast majority of the country would say Brady. I'd wager Elway would have more votes than Manning would.

I am not disparaging Brady's accomplishments. Just saying New England had the number 1 scoring defense in the NFL. And they held the best offense to only 21 points in the Super Bowl.

yet then when someone says the defense carried the teams in the super bowl and his numbers were mediocre you say still 2 more? Like what's the fricking point?
I'm positing that Brady playing Manning's role for those Broncos wouldn't have won the Super Bowl that year.

Would also put Rodgers ahead of Manning too.

I mean, holy shite, Drew Brees is probably going to break all of Manning's records when it's all said and done and no one even has him in the conversation.

But you're incorrectly associating that to Brady playing no part in deciding SB51

If he had a game as bad as PEyton did in SB50, your argument would be strong..

The point is that Brady threw for 466 yards. He won the SBMVP. Not a pass rusher. He had to have 4 straight perfect drives including two 2-point conversions.

And he did it.. This game wasn't decided by the #1 scoring defense as much as you would like to think

Greatest QB? Sure. Greatest NFL Player? Nah dude.

Greatest at the toughest position to excel at? Also the most important position?

The argument can certainly be made

I think it was more than you think it was.

Held a statistically all time great offense to 21 points, including going scoreless for almost the last half of the game.

Brady never engineers that comeback if the D just keeps giving up long, scoring drives. And the D doesn't make the comeback without Brady, they kinda equally needed each other to come through.

Then you talk about the fumble to give Brady a short field and the HUGE sack to give Brady any chance at all.

Hahahaha I think Oleyeller is the only one besides Roger who think deflategate actually happened

Brady has five rings now. You will probably have none considering no woman would ever want to touch you, let alone marry you
