Plus Brady has had countless pro bowlers on his team also and the first 2 Super Bowls he was more of a game manager with a great defense that win he didn't become what he is now until 2005.

The 1st SB ...YS... But the games against Carolina and the Eagles.... It was Brady making plays with guys that were not as good as what Montana had... Just sayin... in the 1982 SB Montana was A man on his own per say... But the other three??? He had A great amount of well know talent around him....

Jerry Rice, Lawrence Taylor and Anthony Munoz are the greatest players ever IMO. Barry Sanders would be there had he played longer.

Yes and no because moss was as good as anybody not named rice Richard seymore and Vince wilfork were both better than any dlineman Montana ever had Ty law Revis Samuel were better than any cb frisco had. And their mlb combos are pretty much all better than friscos of that era cox bruschi, mayo spikes, Hightower Collins. So I agree they weren't together as long but year in and year out there have been more in New England during their run.

If you check Brady's numbers he didn't put up elite stats until 04. Under 3,000 and under 20tds the first Super Bowl. Yes I was mistaken for the second Super Bowl although they were still a running team (Dillon 1600+yards) Brady was as valuable. But he didn't carry the team until 05.

Pointless argument. How in the hell are you supposed to compare what a quarterback does to say a linebacker. They don't do anything remotely similar.

Jim Brown was the most dominant player ever in the time period in which they played, but it's hard to call him the greatest because he was bigger than the average player at every defensive position except tackle. The guy outweighed the average LB trying to tackle him by 15 pounds and was the same size as the average defensive end.

History goes to the victors. I'll clear this whole debate right now. Ask your self this, in 100 year will Brady's name still be mentioned.....yes.

Rodger, Breese, Elway will be footnotes, even Manning will be forgotten because he doesn't have the championships..... 100 years guys, not 10.

We still talk about the 60s UCLA bruins, Jim Brown and Auto Gramhm because of the 10 straight championships and that was 60 years ago and it seems like ancient history.

There is no way to crown any football player the greatest because the positions are so VASTLY different. So I don't think that is a debate. He certainly is the cornerstone of the NE patriots dynasty, that is for sure.

Jordan IMO is the most dominate player in bball, but there are only 5 guys on a teams and the roles aren't that dissimilar. Brady can't tackle, block, kick FGs, or cover WRs...so to tough to call.

Tom is the best QB of his era for sure, but the rules protect him so he can play longer. Terry Bradshaw was knocked unconscious at the end of one of one his SBs...maybe if he would have been protected he could have won 5...right??

Now this Jerry Rice GOAT fball player of all time is insane, and this is my own personal belief so don't get all flamey. But I don't even think he is the greatest receiver of all time. I judge receivers by the art of catching, any fool can grab a ball for 20 yards. Rice had back to back HOF QBs in a west coast modern day throw all time offense which created great stats for him, congrats, it still counts, butttt...... when we actually talk about making grabs......

Cris Carter is the sweetest hands I have ever seen play the game, bar none, when he caught a ball it was sex, I've never seen any other WR do it quite like he does, problem was his QBs consisted of Rich Gannon, Warren Moon, Salisbury etc...see the difference, it's not the championships and stats, it's the art of the catch, and I watched both of them play live, not some youtube greatest catch highlight film. Next would be Larry Fitzgerald, his hands are so soft, shockingly he grew up under Cris Carter and Moss in MN so no surprise there. Then you could talk about, Moss, Lynn Swan, Rice, TO, etc. I do believe Julio and Odell have shown some greatness but they are young and have a long way to go.

Ok carry on fellas.

Would have loved to have seen him play last century when QB were actually hit and the DBs could TOUCH the WRs and before that hit them at the line of scrimmage.
