the super team has not gone into even one game since they joined as the underdog in the public's eye

How much statistical evidence do you have to back that claim up?

Well Durant was a better shooter and defender than LeBron this year. LeBron was the better passer.
Durant also led the league in most points scored for the fourth straight season and he's not even 25 yet.

that's the bobcats fault bc they suck...

because theres no way me or anyone else is going to watch a team as bad as the Bobcats playing against a team as talented as the Heat almost every night of NBA season

Wait... Kevin Durant? The same Kevin Durant who is not only Lebron's friend, but also looks up Lebron's box score, analyzes every stat to see exactly how he did it, and practices with Lebron as much as possible because he wants to get better?
Kevin Durant openly stated all of this a month ago. Durant's the best scorer in the league, but Lebron's efficiency is off the charts. If Kevin Durant goes through all of this effort to learn from what Lebron is doing, there must be something to it. He hired an analytics expert and looks into every aspect of every stat Lebron has. Why? Because like Phil Jackson, who was destroyed for insinuating Lebron could end up better than Jordan, he understands what puts Lebron on another level. Lebron isn't just good at everything. He's extremely efficient. That's the key. He can play any position on the court and still be the best and most efficient player on the court. He had probably the single most efficient season in the history of the NBA this season. That can't be said about many people in the history of the game.
I like Durant for the same reasons I like Lebron. He's competitive and got tons of fire, but he's also not going to constantly yell at his team or throw them under the bus. Lebron even openly said that he knew there was someone out there challenging from his spot, and the person was in OKC. I'm trying to fathom Kobe or Jordan saying something like that or the compliment he gave to Duncan. While people may hate Lebron, Durant's headed in a great direction if that's what he's aiming for.
quote:
“They want the conflict. They want the hate. They forget Bird cried for Magic. A friend was getting on me about this recently, and I said, ‘Calm down. I’m not taking it easy on him. Don’t you know I’m trying to destroy the guy every time I go on the court?’ ”
That quote alone shows why Durant is destined to be something special. He actually already is. I just appreciate that he isn't going to jump on the dick riding "Let's hate Lebron" bandwagon just to seem more competitive. It's scary to think that somewhere out there, Lebron and Durant have been helping one another get better in the offseason.

durant had an amazing year. so amazing, in fact, that i made a detailed thread about how lebron's greatness may unfairly hurt durant's long-term historical place...but even that thread devolved into a lebron bow-thread

oh yeah it's obvious. the theme of being re-born as a pro-durant guy is just his way to shield it

Name me another time in NBA history where 3 of the 5 top players in the NBA (yes Bosh was that good there according to the almighty PER ABOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!!!) structured there contracts years in advance to join forces in their primes...
I don't expect a response.
Yeah, I'm sure that all 3 players structured the previous contracts with the thought in mind that they could play together on their NEXT contracts. That's fricking brilliant! LeBron and Bosh could have opted out after 2006 or 2007 and joined Wade AND Shaq. And Bosh has never been a top 5 player. He made All-NBA 2nd team one time (2007) in 7 years with Toronto when he was the go to guy. He's never made Al-NBA 1st, 2nd or 3rd team on any other occasion. Basically he has only been a top 15 player one time in 10 NBA seasons.

A. Congrats on showing your ignorance on how the salary cap and the players association work.
B. Congrats on showing your ignorance of Bosh's career prior to coming to Miami.
C. Basically, congrats on showing your ignorance
