Shot a 91 yesterday

Hit the driver like a champ. Only had a few bad shots that I can remember. Had 3 3 putt bogies and missed 5 putts from inside 4-5 feet. I didn't know WTF I was doing on the greens. I don't think I made one putt other than tap-ins when I finally got it there. So frustrating. And I broke my SW

I played my whole round at Webb today with one ball until I got to #16 and hit a pop up right into the ditch. My next tee shot landed 2 yards right of the green.

Worst Par ever.

I'm on my last leg. Can't stand to play anymore. Another 108 today. I hit balls on the range as straight as can be, then get on the course and forget everything I've learned. Slice, hook, push, hit it fat, hit it thin. It's making me miserable. Maybe I need time off

Sounds like you are just thinking too much about the round and not what you learned on the range. You are too worried about your score.

Play a round where you already know you will play like crap, but force yourself to stick with what you were doing on the range.

I seem to change my swing every year, and last summer was my most drastic change, when I played my first round after the change it was hard to not revert back to my normal swing, mainly I felt comfortable on the range but when I got on the course I didn't trust it and didn't feel comfortable lining up shots with my changes. I shot bad in the first nine but by #8 I finally was feeling a little more comfortable and played #9 and the next five or six holes great. I forced myself to stick with the changes.

I don't play enough to score great, but my swing is better now than its ever been.

I have no clue if any of that applies to you, just something I have experienced when not being able to take my swing from the range to the course.

BTW, there's a drop area on 16 around 125 out and one on 14 at 150 out.

I hate those drop areas...they are just a way of saying "oh, you can't get across the ditch...it's ok, we'll help you out to make a better score!"

I hit a 5 iron there today...hit a few leaves on the tree to the left and my ball dropped in front of the ditch. It was the beginning of the end.

I am going out with iheart to play. Since your in the know, what's the odds we can get on at 12:30?

I was going to call in the morn but thought I'd ask you anyway.

Also we can wait until 1 if you want to play. I just have to finish by 5 at the latest.

I hit the tree immediately to the left of #12's tee trying to bring a high fade into that narrow arse fairway.

Hit driver, 3 wood, PW to 12 feet only to miss the putt.

I clip so many trees at webb. There's one hole, 18 maybe? where the white tees are dangerously close to some crepe myrtle and I always lose 10 or 20 yards because I fly through the leaves.

On #1, I literally pruned a branch off with my tee shot. They should take the hint and trim up some of those trees a little bit.

ETA: My score was a 91 instead of a 90, I forgot about that penalty stroke. I was too excited about my proper tee shot.

Trying to figure out how I'm going to play that hole.

3W or 2I hybrid off the tee.

Bombed a couple of drives yesterday at SM that would have putt me on a few greens at Webb.

Hoping to jump in a group for my practice round later today. I probably won't keep my score, just playing the course and looking for my landing areas.
