Agreed 100%. Small ball also means scoring on a passed ball and getting a run in with 1st and 3rd and nobody out in the 9th. You do that, it’s 3-3 and who knows where it goes? Back end of the lineup were auto outs with non competitive AB’s. Props to Philly because other than the rookie CF, the rest of the team always seemed threatening

I know stage of life and cost is a big factor in my decrease of fandom. My biggest realization came at the natty in 19 when it was a decision of two tickets to the natty or a month of daycare…cost to go to any of the revenue sports with a family has gotten crazy

Whatever you end up getting, make sure it is high quality. Nothing worse than the guy that gives you a dozen warbird golf balls or a shirt thatll make you itch if you wear it in the heat. Means a lot more when someone gives you a ProV1 or a footjoy golf shirt.

What nobody seems to be talking about is the possibility that fan interest will dwindle as players get paid and prices soar for fan experience to cover the costs. You can already see it at major universities that unless its a premier game, the stadiums are half full and a quarter full by half time.

I think you eventually will see the popularity of "minor league football" die out as nobody will associate it with their college experience and players will be begging for the old format of scholarships (30,40, 50 years from now)
