FSU vs either Michigan or Washington would probably be a close game. Rodemaker has a month to prepare and FSU offense is better than Iowa. They have more skill players than Iowa. The committee looks like idiots. I don’t care if UGA blows out FSU, FSU belongs. The committee doesn’t want a TCU situation, but I don’t think we’d see that anyway.

I would have less of a problem with 12-1 Bama getting in over 13-0 FSU (without star QB) if Bama hadn’t looked so mediocre so many times this year.

Sure they also looked good at times, but to me its as if the committee thought of this Bama team as if they were one of the wily dominant Bama teams of the past instead of what they actually are.

Really it seems they just ignored that to put the better moneymaker in.

The bottom line is Bama gets the benefit of the doubt. There is absolutely a bias. It happens when you win the national championship almost every other year.

If Florida State goes undefeated next year they’ll 100% be in the tournament and if they reel off three natties in the next five years they’ll be the team that gets the questionable playoff nod. Being a proven commodity has its perks.

And let’s be serious, in 2023 the national championship has to go through the SEC or it’s incomplete. If Michigan wants to win a championship they need to do it the way everyone else has had to for 20 years. Beat the best SEC team.

Don’t disagree. If my team dominates the sport for 15 years some day, we damn sure should get it as well.

LOL classic stockholm syndrome of a fan base.

It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy when you are given chances every other program isn't given. Saban wouldn't have near the number of titles if it weren't for the bias. Period. This will be, what, the third or fourth time they get in on a narrative nobody else would get.

As for the comment about "this isn't the usual dominant Bama team"...

When have they been "dominant"? UGA the past three seasons...that was "Dominant".

When is the last time Bama has actually gone unbeaten and not needed the media to push them in the title game? Is 2009 their only unbeaten season? If so, that's even funnier when you consider the SEC purposely rigged games for both Bama and UF that year so there would be a Bama/UF SECCG.

Bama has looked awful against multiple bad teams all year and including to end the year, and don’t use the “rivalry games are different” bullshite.

Bama needed a miracle to beat a bad Auburn team.

Barely beat an 8 loss Arky team by 3 points at home.

Struggled against 5-loss A&M.

Beat a fraud team in Ole Piss.

Beat a team in Tennessee that had no business being ranked at this point in the season.

They beat an LSU team with no defense, almost literally.

They beat UGA due to an egregious and likely intentional blown 4th down call that led to a TD that never should have been. They needed UGA to run out two gimpy players on offense to help their defense loom better than it is.

Bama is a good team this year, but people acting like they beat some great UGA team and some amazing top 13 teams are kidding themselves.

Bama had the strongest SOS among all the potential playoff teams.

Bama won the strongest conference, the conference that has won the last 4 national championships with 3 different teams and has 5 teams in the top 13.

Bama beat the undefeated back to back national champion UGA in Atlanta.

Bama had the most wins over top 15 teams.

I hate Bama as much as anyone, but seem to have a unique ability to not let Bama Butthurt affect my ability to look at the facts.

Thats actually a great point.

But also, it would have sucked if they made it just from an on the field product perspective.

Why? The champion lost to Texas and should have lost to a weak Auburn team. What has the SEC done to impress you this year?

Does all that double-speak include Brian Kelly? He said he played both FSU and BAMA and the committee got it right. Och!

You cite Bama’s loss to a one loss team while giving Texas a pass for a loss to a two loss team.

You cite Bama’s close win over AU without mentioning Texas’ close wins over weaker opponents.

You imply the SEC isn’t clearly the stronfest conference despite what the last 20 years have shown and the fact the SEC has 5 teams in the top 13.

If you insist on arguing get better at it.

He says after completely fabricating an argument I didn’t make.

I’m not arguing for Texas.

I’m saying Alabama losing to Texas is part of the reason why Alabama and the SEC shouldn’t get an auto-bid this year.

Well, when the other team in consideration was a team they beat at that team's home stadium, you kinda do HAVE to put em in.

It isn't a four conference "playoff," Meatballer.

They are ranked higher and are currently favored. This is not the Alabama of years past. They could easily lose to any of the playoff teams.

Pretty nice in that little world you created in Rant Land. Booger was a minority of one on the ESPN countdown. Even little Joey Gallaway was throwing paper at the guy's cajun bias. Make no mistake, if BAMA and a one-loss SEC team weren't in the 4 team playoff, all hell would have broken loose. And the committee wanted no part of that fight.

You should take a break from these homer sites now and again and take a look around.
