The 3 reason many people like the NFL, is why I find it boring

The professional nature of the League makes the product seem too sterile and clean.
The parity in the league makes upsets seem non-events that only matter to gamblers.
The fact that nearly half the league ends up in the playoff makes the regular season mostly inconsequential.
Shower me with your down votes, I guess. I don't hate the league, and try every year to engage with it. . .but college football puts out a much more exciting product largely because of the lack of polish and lack parity.
Am I alone here?

I find it boring when it takes 30 minutes to finish the last two minutes of a game.

While I agree with most of what you said, it’s still catching up to the college product for me.
Or maybe CFB is trending the wrong way for me.

Unfortunately, modern college football is the exact same thing with far, far, far less talent on the field. TV execs have trashed this sport.

And that's fine, everyone has different tastes. I love cfb, but most of my friends and family can't watch a full game with me. It just doesn't interest them.

Yeah, it’s so fricking exciting watching the same 4 teams in the playoffs every year

I rarely find the NFL boring.
Not a fan of the new rules in college football though, making the actual game shorter and increasing the amount of commercial breaks.

I loosely follow the NFL now bc of my pointless fantasy teams. The NFL is getting to be boring and the obvious tilting of games makes it worse.
CFB has little to no parity as the media tries to make sure the same group of teams make the playoffs annually. Those teams play by different rules when it comes to wins and losses. So basically it is the NFL with a slightly different tilting mechanism. I don’t think expansion of playoff teams is going to do what fans think it will do.

I used to enjoy the NFL way more than college football. I still watch both but I can't say that I enjoy one more than the other anymore.

I find the product sucks. The officiating has killed it for me. I can't watch the Saints like I watch LSU. I've stopped watching since early last year. Have not regretted it.

This.
Conference changes are killing the rivalries , which was the best thing about college sports.
Money is ruining the traditions.
Tv is killing the game day atmosphere.
Transfer/NIL stiff is ruining the student/athlete aspect.
Basically the college game is becoming more like the pro game.

Redzone baw
Redzone is definitely the way to go, but I do like it better when there are more games in the afternoon slots.
There's a couple times a year they have basically an even amount of games between noon and the 3 PM slot. It just feels better than having like 3 games in the late slot.

NFL has the lowest percentage of teams make it out of the 4 main pro leagues.

I love both but used to be a MUCH bigger fan of college than nfl. College has turned into the same 6 teams competing for the playoffs every year and the transfer portal is only allowing the rich to get richer. I still love it and hopefully the new playoff will excite things more
Nfl is like a soap opera every week. Upsets, Star players getting injured, close games, blowout, you never know what you’re going to get. Add that with the popularity of fantasy football and the nfl is a fantastic product. Who dosent like posting up at a local sports bar for Monday night football with a buddy? Had a blast for chiefs-lions last week for TNF. It’s one of my favorite things to do. My biggest complaint about nfl is the amount of flags and reviews. Seems like every other play a flag is thrown. Let them play for the love of god

I lack the attention span for 4 hour long NFL games. Most of that is light beer and pickup truck commercials. When there is an exciting play it usually overturned by a flag after replay review.

too many games at 12:00.
One of the better things about college is games all day and well into the night. Sure it can be tough if you're trying to go to a game and they end up with an early or late kickoff, but that will hopefully shift now that CBS is ending their stranglehold on the 2:30 kickoff and we get more SEC games in the coming years with better kickoff times.

The NFL is an infinitely better product on the field, but I have no real attachment to a team owned by some billionaire douchebag with dozens of corporate sponsors. Even though Mizzou sucks, that’s my school. It’s where most of my family went to school. Many of them live/lived in Columbia. And some billionaire isn’t going to yank the Missouri Tigers away for Los Angeles because the taxpayers don’t want to build them a new stadium.
