I'm getting old but I remember when players after scoring a TD would hand the ball back to the referee so that couldn't happen.

Really unbelievable it happens back to back weeks. Falcons got lucky with Pitts, Jets not so much. You’d think as much as these coaches make they would make this a point of emphasis during team meetings

That was the first time my son saw that situation live, which gave me the opportunity to tell him about Leon Lett in the Superbowl and his infamous play during that Thanksgiving game.

The Jets moved heaven and earth for a guy that is currently 4-9 for 14 yards and he hasn't thrown for 300 yards in 1050+ days.
