Tuned in to Southern and NC Central to watch Trey Holly and had forgotten how undisciplined football at this level is. Plenty of athletes, some are just sloppy fat, others are apparently on their very last leg of eligibility. Officiating and coaching- same ??

That is some terrible gap integrity - love how the linebackers just all run straight ahead into the LOS

Richard Condon’s SWAC/MEAC segment was always gold.

I’m surprised Valley is still functioning as a program, let alone an institution. Only 2,000 ish students, in the middle of the poverty stricken Mississippi Delta, surely strapped for cash. Doesn’t seem like much hope.

HBCU football has been garbage for 25 years. The days of Eddie Robinson are done

I’m not here to be a hater of Mississippi Valley, but it’s disrespectful to the game, conference, and fans that they still don’t have an official roster up. I don’t want to hear that they posted it today. They have zero photos and have almost no photos for the coaches.
they should stop and think if they’re asking too much of them here. I’m sure it’s just incompetence from their end, not intentional or nefarious

It’s been garbage for longer than that, there were just a few exceptions propping it up. Eddie was a legend, but even he wouldn’t make waves today. Integration killed HBCUs. It’s maybe division 2 level football.

Mississippi Valley State has a white girl on the team. That’s pretty awesome

Southern showed up to Louisiana Tech a few years ago and didn’t tell anyone they changed like 20 jersey numbers until like 10 minutes before kickoff.

I can’t imagine how pissed off the producers who have to broadcast SWAC games are when they get the assignment. Meanwhile ESPN showcases these schools like they are prestigious institutions who just aren’t given a fair shake

First take will be at 5 different racist schools this fall to showcase how prestigious they are. During the shows they will have a twerkoff with all the winners to come on FT in December for the championship

Let’s be fair, they still draw fans and ratings compared to the average FCS team and a lot of G5s

no..... I crack up when the news gives their hoops equal air time as LSU and they have like 20 people there.
