South Carolina - 20
Iowa - 18
Free Throw attempts:
South Carolina - 13
Iowa - 14
That looks pretty even to me! It seems like they allowed the teams to play and decide the outcome themselves instead of making it a free throw shooting contest!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a coach get so angry that their team was called physical.

LSU had 22 fouls against Utah, with Angel, Flau'jae, and Poole fouling out. LSU got into foul trouble again in the 2nd qtr against Iowa. Yet other players managed to rally and get the job done in both those games.
For a supposedly great coach, Staley keeps coming off as an even greater sore loser. Complaining about officials on a podcast a month after your season ended is weak.

So USC played poorly and the officiating was against them. No mention of the fact that she got out coached and out played by Iowa.

I hate seeing this excuse. Generally poor play is mostly caused by the opponent. Staley was unable to adjust to the way Iowa defended her team and how she defended Iowa.

She had her defense sinking back to the free throw line & deeper & yet was surprised when Clark it up. Giving Clark those shots when she is typically shooting just past half court cost her team the win. Bad coaching cost her the game, not the refs. CKM's defense kept Clark out of the lane - area shots, particularly driving layups where she either scored or assisted to the center for her lay ups. With all her seasons' success, she only has 1 NC. CKM will pass that record sooner rather than later.
