Coaches put stuff like that all the time....as if Staley never tried to influence officials with pre-game comments.

Well if you judge by merit, and we should - one should want them to be judged by the same standard as anyone...male, female, black, white, Asian, Hispanic....if you perform your job poorly, you go back to the back of the line you don't get a spot reserved at the front and get rewarded for poor performance.
As we are finding out more and more these days if you rationalize and enable poor behaviour/performance it will continue and get worse.

The irony is - she is complaining about them then also - simultaneously lamenting the fact that they may not get the opportunity again because they are black females....even though she is saying they suck!!

So she thinks the officiating was bad, but she’s afraid the two black officials won’t get those assignments again.
If those officials sucked, they shouldn’t officiate at that level again, regardless or race or gender. Can’t have it both ways, dear.

Yep, she needs to look in the mirror. She had the much better team and never adjusted to a basic and simple strategy by Iowa of packing in a zone and leaving selected players wide open. I remember watching that game and thinking all the things she could have done but did not and saying if she loses this one it's on her.

So I looked at the officiating: Fouls South Carolina - 20 Iowa - 18 Free Throw attempts: South Carolina - 13 Iowa - 14 That looks pretty even to me!
USCe is a driving attacking team and Iowa shoots outside. Usually, USCe should have close to double the attempts

How much Iowa women’s basketball did you watch? Also, how much USCe?
I watched a total of 2 Iowa games and 2 USCe games and from what I saw USCe was a dump it into the post and let their bugs dominate type team and Iowa was a pick and roll, back door cut passes, and kick out to three type team.
USCe bigs fouled on those pick and rolls early, hence the poor offensive performance
