Stick his foot in the ground
Catch the ball at its highest point
I’ll add as I think of more. Post yours…

"Defense wins championships" is easily one of the worst. If that was really true, then why didn't the historically great defenses win more? Often, well balanced teams are those that win.
I'm so tired of hearing someone here or on TV say "kind of" or "I'm not sure". If you have an informed opinion, then just come out and state it with conviction. I hate it when people or analysts that are paid a lot to have an opinion try to sit on the fence. If you truly believe something, then there shouldn't be any "kind of" or "I'm not sure". With most topics there shouldn't be any gray area.

“If that guy hadn’t gotten him, he would have gone all the way”
ISN’T THAT THE OBJECT OF THE GAME? ISN’T THAT TRUE ON EVERY PLAY?
Ffs.

The use of the word "like" when they are talking about a specific person. I hear the media say this a lot.
"The Rams trading for a player like Matthew Stafford made the difference." They traded for Matthew Stafford, not a player like Matthew Stafford.

When a running team beats a passing team, you hear “they were too physical” or the losing team being a “finesse” team. When the passing team beats a running team, you hear “they had too much speed” or the losing team being “too predictable”.

Using a sports analogy when describing something during the game of a completely different sport.
