I’ve seen a ton of guys slipping tonight, I mean it’s probably happened 7-8 times to the ball carrier

Yes, why do you think so many gruesome injuries happen on that field?

I don’t get why so many places that had grass fields for decades have become so arse at maintaining them to a high level.

Doesn’t get any better than natural grass with solid painted endzones

they put in a brand new field over the off-season, but one thing remains the same..they still suck.

because we’re expecting every field to be perfect now. Field and footing changes the game, let’s just be frank about it. You can’t run in slop like you can on a fast track

Players weigh more and are faster now, so when they cut it puts more stress on the turf. But the grass hasn’t gotten any stronger. The Washington field in particular is bad though.

Notoriously bad. That turf destroyed RGIII’s knee, his career, and Mike Shanahan’s career.

There’s gotta be some sacred Indian curse upon the ground.

The old timers who knew what to do have retired.
Each time you hear "Hey, kid, get off of my grass" know that the guy saying that knew what it took to grow a fine front yard.

The new front yards/stadiums are not subject to the same pride of place, care, accumulated knowledge.

In 2005 Weiss let the grass grow to slowdown USC. Didn’t work.

That same game the Seahawks kicker tore his ACL. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL there, then there are all the broken legs Alex Smith, Colt McCoy, Kyle Allen the guy last night.

The team claimed it was because of their climate zone. I talked to some turf specialists from Virginia Tech about it and they said that excuse was BS, The bottom line is that Snyder was too cheap to maintain the field or he wanted a new stadium. They finally redid the field this off-season and it seems like they have the same problems.
