I think burrow is still elite, but it’s just hard to measure when your offense is that stacked with talent

Flacco has been incredible to watch with the Bengals. Been great to see.

Burrow can make do with any receiver right now though like a Josh Allen or Pat. They should’ve never re-signed Tee.

I imagine Justin Fields would still be throwing for 13/24 for 109 yards with the bengals though.

Based on? Guess that depends on how you define elite really but he’s absolutely not in the Lamar/Mahomes/Allen tier and there’s no argument for him there. Is he really any better than Hurts? I mean Hurts has been two Super Bowls and won one. The whole Burrow argument is built on him going to one Super Bowl 4 years ago being carried by his defense - I don’t recall anyone calling Russell Wilson elite in 2013 because of his defense but maybe I missed it. Is he better than Herbert? Not really, only real difference in their numbers is Burrow has a slightly higher Completion percentage because he has more checkdowns but there’s no real separation there.

Idk the hype exceeds the talent/performance at this point but people are going to being delusional when they have nothing else going on for them I reckon.

The Bengals should trade Jeaux for multiple #1 picks. They've proven that they can score without him. They've also proved they can't win with that putrid defense. Cash Jeaux in for defensive draft picks and sign Mac Jones for far cheaper.

Can he? We've never seen him without elite weapons.

Let's check on their defense...

When you're constantly playing back and forth because the defense can't make a stop, you'll have to score a lot more.

They should but they don’t have the balls.

He made his own bed on this. He has lobbied for everyone on the team to get paid. That doesn’t work in the NFL.

He’s done just fine without Tee in the 10 games without him.

Again, they didn’t need Tee.

Joe Burrow has a passer rating of 106.1 with 2,620 yards, 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 10 games without Tee Higgins in his career.

Full 17-game pace (rounded):
Yards: 4,454
Touchdowns: 39
Interceptions: 10
Passer rating: 106.1

It is an interesting dilemma, especially since our @joeyb is made of glass.

Let’s see if Flacco keeps this up all season. This is the same guy who had maybe the best four game post season run of all time in 2012 only to be almost unplayable a couple years later. Then comes out of nowhere to play at an MVP level with the browns a few years ago and then lose his job.

Flacco has some Nick Foles in him for sure, he gets hot but struggles to sustain it.

Cowboys are very similar. Dak started the season on fire, but he’s fallen way off the last two games.

It puts a lot of pressure on a QB and an offense when they need to score every possession in every game.

Flacco is doing what the Bengals hoped when they signed him. Get on a heater for a few weeks and try to keep the Bengals season alive. Unfortunately, their defense is trash, and they haven’t taken advantage of Flacco’s hot streak.

So why did he advocate for them to keep Tee?

Burrow is one of the best, but he needs to work on getting the ball out quicker. Flacco isn't getting killed behind this oline the way Burrow does.
