Shame on UMass. Why host Liberty if you have issues with the college ?

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts is planning to hold a Pride Day on the same day that the Minutemen host evangelical Liberty in a football game.

The school made the "special announcement" Sunday on Twitter in a 37-second video featuring techno music and a uniformed player standing in a room lit by rainbow colors associated with the LGBTQ community. It ends showing how to get tickets for the Oct. 8 game.

Liberty, which started as a Baptist college under founder Jerry Falwell in 1971, has evolved into a conservative, evangelical university in Lynchburg, Virginia, that places restrictions on its students' behavior, including monitoring behaviors in its male- and female-only residence halls

The game at UMass will not be the first time a Flames athletic team arrived elsewhere to find their host celebrating diversity. They played at Northwestern in field hockey on Sept. 9, and the Wildcats has set that day as their Pride Game

"Where are the dudes sucking other dude's dicks? Goddammit, how the hell am I supposed to enjoy this football game if there aren't any dudes sucking other dude's dicks?" - UMASS, probably

It's a shame another school controlled by leftists was forced to schedule Liberty in a non-conference game.

They weren’t going to win on the field, so they’ll just piss Liberty off instead.

Good plan when you have one of the worst FBS teams and bring in an opponent who has two wins already, nearly beat a Top 25 team last week, and has a head coach known for offensive wizardry.

UMASS: "Christians are just awful people. Always telling others they're wrong and trying to convince them to convert to their way of thinking. What a bunch of hypocrites!"

Also UMASS: "Liberty is coming to town. These guys are Christians so we need to make sure we show them how wrong they are, and maybe try to convince them to convert to our way of thinking."

The school gets money.

If I were the UMASS football team, I’d be mutinous that I’m being thrown out there with a much better opponent and our administration just pissed on their leg.

Liberty should just win and talk about the pride they have in both sides of the line doing their part Offense or defense should play as God intended and it leads to a win

As evidenced by this thread, seems like an effective troll that is triggering the intended target (dumb southerners). The North just pwning the south, per usual

All from a school that was lead by a guy that got off getting cucked by the pool boy. Sounds kind of gay, if you ask me

Guess they didn't have enough resources to commit to watching ole Jerry and what the pool boy was doing with his wife.

If Liberty did some Anti-lib/gay/whatever at their home game for Umass this board would be calling it the ultimate troll job and they owned the libs from Umass.

No, we wouldn’t give a shite because no one cares about UMASS sports unless Marcus Camby is playing basketball for them.

Willing to bet some of them are not happy with having a rainbow slapped on their helmet
