The Oklahoma City Thunder have 4 NBA MVPs in the last 13 seasons.
2014: Kevin Durant
2017: Russell Westbrook
2025: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
2026: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Most in the league over that time period

Joker fatigue is real. I mean 28/13/11 with 2 stocks shooting 57/38/83 is wildly ridiculous. (after a season of 30/13/10 with 2 stocks shooting 58/42/80)
SGA is having ridiculous scoring production though

Geez Louise. I don't usually get into the "this era vs. that era" talk but I'd love to see him play the Bad Boys Pistons or the Hack-a-Shaq refs

Modern NBA. You don’t have to be the best, only the best actor.

I mean, when POS Oklahoma fans were rewarded for trying to steal the Hornets/Pelicans following a massive natural disaster with being rewarded by stealing the Sonics after the owner promised when he bought them to not move them, it is fitting what the NBA has become.
Guy is a great player who makes a joke of himself to any serious, unbiased sports fan with his pathetic flopping. It's unnecessary and will forever cloud his legacy, but hey, when your state's premier academic institution's mascot/team name is literally after cheaters, what would you expect?

Just saw that Game 7 tonight is on Amazon Prime.
What an absolute joke of a league.

Easy decision.

That was last year’s argument. He’s just not that good anymore. He looked like shite in the playoffs.

For people that actually watch the NBA, we all know he’s the best player. He had MVP wrapped up months ago. The only drama was when Wemby started lobbying for himself.

Same people who dont watch and claim they dont care about nba

In addition to the league itself being unserious, basketball discussion also consistently has horrible takes like this
Jokic unquestionably had a bad playoff series, but he also finished the season as the most efficient player (again) tying Lebron with 6 seasons all time & trailing only Jordan with 7. He also finished with career high assist per game, rebounds per game, and total triple doubles (34).
He had as good a season as he's ever had by pretty much every metric

Yes he’s the king of PRA. However, every player and coach for the Nuggets do everything they can to help him stuff the stat sheet. They help him farm triple doubles so he can hunt individual awards. The jig is up and voters aren’t falling for it anymore.

If I am an opposing player knowing he's going to get the call anyway, I'd make it worth my while.

Notice how bad they are without him? This isn't a Westbrook post Durant issue. It's him and Murray. That's it.
