Flopping pays off

I heard he immediately thanked the refs when he found out.

How original! Come up with something more creative.

You might have an argument he shouldn't have won it if Jokic didn't get eliminated in the first round...

My vote would go to Wemby. Anyways, I love the Joker but he played like shite and got dominated by Gobert. He no deserve MVP. Gotta call it like I see it.

Guy wails like a Spanish soccer player after zero contact.

The league rewards his kind of play, which is why hes the mvp.

Hes a great player too, its a shame he foul hunts as much as he does.

He was pretty clearly having the best season in the league, one of the best seasons of all time, prior to his injury. He was never the same after that.

It’s a regular season award. Votes are gathered prior to the postseason. The best player has been deservingly recognized again!

Tyrese Haliburton should have won and had the best argument.

I would have given it to Wemby bc he’s more valuable to the Spurs than SGA is to the Thunder.

And you can also argue he’s more impactful given his defense

Statistically one of the best guard seasons of all time.

Well deserved! Wemby will win plenty of MVPs and may just take over the BITW belt from SGA in the playoffs. I’m going to cherish this while I can lol

Reason #21123 I haven't watched the NBA since the 90s.

If I am an opposing player knowing he's going to get the call anyway, I'd make it worth my while.

Anyone here being critical of SGA that has ever supported LeBron can sit down and be quiet

There is no bigger indictment on the current state of the NBA when someone like fricking SGA is a back to back MVP. I can't think of lower moment in modern history. Probably have to to back to the 70s and even then idk

Yea I don’t really care. He’s otherwise exciting to watch play, and I’m just happy he’s doing it for a small market team.
I’m not an OKC fan but I rather see small market teams succeed.
