10% of 300 million is 30 million people. Not an insignificant number to grow from.

99% couldn't name 10. I check out who got relegated and who got promoted in the epl just out of minimal curiosity and watch about three soccer games all year and I cannot name five. I know Messi, Rooney, and there is always someone named Ronaldo or ronaldhino or some variation but I have no idea what he looks like.

Looks like ratings for the opener were down across the globe, and the US hardly took the biggest hit.

Also, ratings for the Spain/Portugal match was 75% higher than the opener in the US.

If you want to watch a bunch of guys struggle to score for hours, just go with your buddies to the club.

Same could be said for the MLB, and that's America's past time supposedly.

Jacob Hester plays soccer all the time now.

You don’t know what the most popular athlete in the world looks like? A guy who is a superstar player and also a fashion model?

You are just confirming all your opinions on this subject should be ignored.

Or defensive dominations in football?

I love how these threads always turn into people sucking each other off about how little they know about soccer.

the problem with soccer is we have no legitimate domestic league to be interested in. we just arent going to spend time to talk about whatever the frick the leagues in europe are during the offseason like we do with basketball and football. its just never going to happen unless we randomly get the MLS to be on par with those leagues

To have a good domestic league, you need to have good domestic players and the American players are shite. If they can improve the quality of their players, MLS will become a much stronger league.

Jozy was never known as a good athlete. He was just a big body that mostly played with his back to the goal.
