Totally agree. And to a bunch on here making excuses, it’s probably just how you went through it so you think it’s ok. It doesn’t have to be that way. You can have a coach that is hard on you and gets you motivated without throwing shite at you. My coach over 30 years ago played in the AFL and was a hell of a coach and he never did any of this crap.

That’s my cousins and uncles there… but it’s as backwoods as Alabama gets. You can barely understand them the accent is so thick, but it’s beautiful hill country

A place that can’t hire anybody plus a coach that can’t be hired anywhere else is a tale as old as time

You're literally arguing that a high school coach should be allowed to throw his headset at a player *because* it's his son. That's a stupid comment.

Incorrect. I am arguing that throwing a headset at a helmet doesn't cause bodily harm.

So you're okay with a coach throwing stuff at your child?

Honestly, I would laugh.

I had a coach kick me in the arse when I was coming off the field. I was playing LB and blitzed when I wasn’t supposed to, left RB wide open, coach was pissed. My dad said he should have kicked me twice

Yea, I’d kick his arse for that.

It is clearly possible for bodily harm to result by throwing a hard plastic headset at a helmet, especially if the headset enters the facemask near the eyes.

I also don’t believe a father should throw an item at his son’s face to discipline him.

Football coaches get angry, of course. Chewing a player out is one thing. But throwing anything at a player’s face is over the line. It’s just high school football, after all.

There’s nothing sadder than old men pining for a world and a way of doing things that doesn’t exist anymore.

Yes there is.

Young men making excuses for sociopathic behavior and doing things the wrong way instead of standing up for decency and respect. It is people like you that are the reason that world is fading away.

I totally agree that throwing anything at a player is crossing the line, especially when you have a pattern of doing stupid things your entire career. I guess if his son lost an eye in the incident, then it would have been crossing the line. Anyone who finds no problem with how Propst acted is a total idiot!

This goes to show that some schools are so desperate to win, they will sell their soul to the devil to win a few games. The AD really looks stupid for having to protect the son from being attacked further by a coach he just hired!

It's been 17 years since Two a Days aired I still can't believe that he never rose above the HS level while his goofy assistant ended up being HC at a program like Tennessee.

Lots of HS coaches like staying the big shite, he definitely seems like that type, and the second family came out not long after the 2nd season of the show. No college is touching him after that.

When he was hired at Valdosta two years later, he was fired after it was discovered that he was illegally recruiting players to the school from out of the area. Five players were declared ineligible for the season and the school was placed on probation.

More specifically, his QB’s parents got legally divorced just so his father could move him to Valdosta to play football immediately. And it was televised for all the world to see. He’s a sociopath
