This is what blows my mind. All of the crap he has done over the years and yet schools continue to hire him. I guess winning is everything to some school districts.

So if he choked him ala Bobby Knight it'd be ok because it's his son?

What a stupid comment. Choking someone is actually harmful.

Is there anywhere to watch Two A Days or whatever that mtv show was called?

Viacom makes it very hard to watch any of their stuff, old or new. Might be on paramount if anywhere

I’m amazed with the influx of NIL, and monster sized schools/football programs that ESPN or anyone else hasn’t tried to resurrect the concept

So the next time a coach humiliates, bullies or assaults your child or any child, remember you support this type of behavior.

shite I had a high school coach that according to my father grabbed me by my face mask at midfield and my feet only touched the ground once between there and our sidelines. He cussed me so much I thought my name had been legally changed to motherfricker.

I along with 8 other former players spoke in front of over 2000 people at his funeral a few years ago.

How does the AD explain to other candidates that the school is hiring Propst over them?

You're literally arguing that a high school coach should be allowed to throw his headset at a player *because* it's his son. That's a stupid comment.

Is this his kid from the second family he had on side while at Hoover?

If you knew anything about Rush Propst, you'd be humming a different tune. Scandal follows him wherever he goes.

- He had two families while coaching at Hoover during the early-00s, keeping both of them a secret from the other.

- He ended up getting fired from Hoover when it was discovered that he had been bribing the school's guidance counselor and having the grades of his players changed so as to keep them eligible to play football.

- When he got a new job, this time at Colquitt County in Georgia, he was suspended for the entirety of the 2016 season after head-butting one of his players (and bloodying him) in the 2015 state playoffs.

- He was then fired from Colquitt in 2019 after being found to have violated the code of ethics for education, legal compliance, conduct with students, honesty, and public funds and property. It was also discovered during this investigation that he owed the government over $450,000 in unpaid taxes.

- When he was hired at Valdosta two years later, he was fired after it was discovered that he was illegally recruiting players to the school from out of the area. Five players were declared ineligible for the season and the school was placed on probation.

- Now you have this incident on the sidelines in Pell City, AL where a third party had to separate him from HIS OWN SON.

You left out the "best" part - dealing steroids and painkillers to kids at Colquitt County.

One of those players moved from CA to Valdosta. His parents legally separated to try to skirt the rules.

The player was eventually ruled ineligible to play at Valdosta after the first game, but he was allowed to play the rest of the season for Grayson. He went to Miami but is now at Mizzou.

Jake Garcia. And there were 4 other players besides him that were ineligible.

Rush Propst gave the world one of the best scenes in television history. For that, Oldmanbeasley thanks him for his service. It should also be noted that he’s an all time scumbag and terrible human being.

Oh, yeah. I was thinking about that when I was typing up that summary but for whatever reason I forgot to put it in there. My bad.

He may be a good coach, but he is a POS human being.
My son would never be on a team coached by that asshat.

Yes the worse thing that he has been done is by far giving these kids drugs and performance enhancers.
